The tarantulas you’re seeing are Tliltocatl albopilosus, the Honduran curly hair. There is also a Nicoraguan curly hair with the same species name but they are much more fluffy. I’d be curious to see if you can find one and spot the differences.

PARROT SNAAAAAKE. My absolute favorite genus of animals ever. That was an especially dark one, most L. mexicanus mexicanus/yucatanensis have around 4 rows of the dark scales on their sides, and the rest of the scales on the back are a dull gold color. Im so happy to see one

I'm enjoying your videos Dav. I truly like turtles, tortoise, and lizards. Learning about the different species is fascinating. Thanks for educating me on reptiles. I am still deathly afraid of snakes, but seeing them on my TV is just fine. 😊

You don’t need a shower when your trekking about the jungle Dav. And even if there was baths in the jungle they are almost certainly too small to fit your huge frame in. 😂 Seriously though, I thoroughly enjoyed that Dav. As always👌

The tarantula looks like an Aphonopelma seemanni (Stripe knee) mainly in Costa rice-guatemala . Closer to Guatemala and north they are more blue, down south they are more brown.

The tarantula looks like an Aphonopelma seemanni. They are found in that range along with the Tliltocatl albopilosus, but T albos are curly hair tarantulas and look much more fluffy than that.

I think the tarantula was a Tliltocatl albopilosus - the curly hair tarantula. The Honduran version has less hairs than the Nicaraguan version.

That lizard was terrified, not angry. Expected to be eaten. Very annoyed with people who call them angry. That posture is a desperate attempt to be scary.
