@@DavoBirmingham2 The last time I was in Birmingham was about 40 years ago. I was in the New Street train station headed back to London. My lot QPR had played at the Hawthorns earlier that day. About 400 Zulus came through the the train station that day shouting "Zulus, Zulus" I never forgot that. Your lot had a proper firm...

@@developer101 Millwall fan here. Zulus always stood their ground with us, best firm in the Midlands by far and always bring a good crew to the Den to this day. QPR, an underrated mob in your own right. Nowhere to be seen nowadays but some good battles in times gone by as you know. The old heads at the Den never forget the 60s and 70s. The 6-1 at Loftus Road, if you know you know. COYL

@@millwallmark7400 Your right mate in the Midlands the Zulus were the top firm. Back in the early 80's some of my mates were gooners, so sometimes I would go Highbury, and away games with them. My other mates were cockney reds, they had a naughty firm. I used to love away games that's were you'd see the real supporters. Millwall what can I say, the most terrifying firm in London. F-Troop, and Treatment were a bunch of nutters...

I've been a lifelong England fan since Euro 88 (first I can remember born 82) I've watched every England heartbreak and I've cried over the years both joy and despair. There's no other ride like it, being an England fan is so much more than singing songs and watching the games you have to breath it and live it out. My first heartbreak? Gazza italia 90. His booking did something like it triggered the nation into loving the national team. For me, Gazza made England fans what they are today. He united us, but lighting up the pitch, to outright pride and passion.
@DavoBirmingham23 жыл бұрын
Great words mate and that’s a great shout. The number of people in Gazza shirts the last couple of weeks says it all. Even those of us too young to remember him as a player just see him as one of us.

It's a shame you lot aren't this passionate about the government taking more and more of our rights away like the right to peaceful assembly (protest) but I guess that's why they distract you with bread and circus's.

Why aren't more areas allocated for standing? There are proven safety barriers in many grounds so who is stopping the usage of such? Morons?

Glad we won and we definitely were the better side but the booing and whistling to drown out the German national anthem was out of order. Of course, there are legitimate times for booing etc. but that wasn't one of them.

I bet you felt sick in your mouth when Grealish came on?! 😂🤣 I went mental when Sterling scored but when Kane scored, I didn’t celebrate at all. I just cannot bring myself to cheering on someone from the 💩. Don’t know if it’s the same with you & Aston Villa players? I just don’t want to be on the bandwagon of players from teams that I dislike. Yes, I’m all for England but still firmly club over country.

Definitely can relate to that mate 🤣 There are a handful of special rivalries that will never truly be brushed aside for England and we know what they are 👏

@@DavoBirmingham2 I take it you got angry seeing Grealish giving the assist to HIM?! 😂🤣 My mate from uni is a Norwich fan but he hates Mings (obviously the Ipswich connection!) & was hoping he would have stinkers in the Croatia & Scotland games. @gunnerboy29753 жыл бұрын
@@charltonathleticlad Would you cheer on a Crystal Palace or Millwall player that you verbally abuse week in week out?! Of course not, so how’s it different?! Anyway, Campbell had a goal disallowed against Portugal & Spurs fans were happy about it. I was upset but it didn’t bother me when the Spurs fans cheered his disallowed goal, the thought of Spurs fans wanting to cheer on our players is enough to make me sick & they wouldn’t cheer on any of our players.

All is great, and I die hard cheer for England, with every cell in my veins (both parents are English, but I was born and raised here in my beloved Canada) .... yet the only stain upon the day, when we beat Germany 2-0, was the booing of their national anthem. That was rude and disrespectful, and it was the only thing which I would not have done.
