football is about passion exitment and having fun with friends , in birmingham we had all of that , i had a hell of a good time in a beautifull city , saw a good game stayed for the night had a few drinks with my best friendsand met some nice people , antwerp is a way of life and all you people that are shitting us we dont care becouse we now your all just envious of us , we are all having a good time even in 2th division

To understand the passion you have to know that Antwerp is the oldest and most traditional club in Belgium with a huge fanbase. We are the belgian Leeds. We've been languishing in the second division since 8 years now and have an average attendance of 8k while most teams have 2k. We almost always outnumber the home fans during our away games. We are a sleeping giant !! Our local rivals of Beerschot have a smaller fanbase even though they play in the first.

Had a real good time in Birmingham, met some nice people, and I will surely come back to check a competition game from you guys. And to all suporters: what does it matter who's the loudest, the best or anything else, football is about being passionate about your team, in any way. P.S.: Has someone filmd the moment when the disabled fans received their Antwerp scarves from us, it was pleasing to see how he enjoyed it.

- creators of RAFC were Englishmen - influences of Man U and other clubs. - Antwerp used to be the best football club in Belgium and played against English clubs and so on. But we have Dutch songs but you wouldn't understand them :D haha

You've got to admit, their fans were quality. Although, if they we're expecting a full house and an electric atmosphere like when we played Brugge, they were never going to get it. Our support was poor today and that's because it was a friendly against a team we had never heard of. KRO

Antwerp always had one of the greatest supporter clans in Belgium Too bad OUR support (Ghent) lately became shit after a few years of high rankings in the Belgian premiership we attracted loads of 'success' supporters I'm a big fan of this kind of atmosphere and am longing back to the days where our support was a bit like this. (I'm not saying we were as good or as many as the Antwerp fans.) But Antwerp fans: keep it up, one day you'll be back! And oh yeah: 'we h8 Bruges, we h8 Bruges' :p

Mocht Brugge al 9 jaren een middenmotor zijn in tweede klasse, haalden jullie nooit een gemiddelde van 8000 toeschouwers. Toen we top waren eind jaren 80 haalden we regelmatig 40.000 toeschouwers. We gingen naar Keulen met 9000 man. Met hoevelen waren jullie vorig jaar in Hannover?

En zo denken alle eerste klasse ploegen over Antwerp. Jullie reputatie is wereldwijd gekend. De meeste die op verplaatsing mee gaan zijn er allemaal met een stadionverbod in België.

We hebben steevast op verplaatsing meer dan 1000 man mee. Geen enkele ploeg in Belgie heeft zo'n gemiddelde, zelfs Brugge niet. Dus, is het geen toeval. Zelfs de Engelsen vinden het onwaarschijnlijk dat er zoveel fans waren. In '93 in Wembeley waren we met twintigduizend. Nog steeds het Belgische record qua aantallen op verplaatsing in het buitenland. Het moet blijkbaar sommigen zeer doen dat Antwerp niet kapot te krijgen is. groeten

Club Brugge's support doesn't come close to Antwerp's. Antwerp's 900 fans made more noise in a friendly than Brugge's 4,000 did in a Europa League match. Shame on you, Brugge.

Beerschot-fans zijn ook top hoor. Antwerpse humor in 't algemeen is de beste die er is in Belgenland. Maar Antwerp heeft wellicht een grotere supportersschare. En ja, de oudste club van het land, dat kunnen er ook niet teveel zeggen natuurlijk! :) RAFC hoort gewoon in eerste klasse terecht, gewoon al voor zulke supporters die we hier zien St.-Andrews met verstomming slaan dmv hun heerlijke herrie! Ik geef idd toe dat er in Zulte Waregem de voorbije jaren niet veel sfeer was. Maar dit is te wijten aan ons leuke stadion met de piste er rond. Moest je het voetbal een beetje volgen dan weet je dat er nu een sfeertribune achter het doel staat, en er nu wel degelijk sprake is van sfeer.
