As a Sunderland fan, I really feel for you and hope your fortunes turnaround. I admit, I was somewhat confused at the Eustace sacking and the Rooney replacement. I don't think he did Derby much good really - a footballing legend, but it doesn't necessarily follow a good player makes a good manager. All the best for the rest of the season.

I always felt that Eustace had already given as much as he could. I was surprised by the Rooney appointment but the owners will get rid if he doesn’t do the job. Either way the fans and the owners will move forward together. If Rooney keeps us up I’d give him two more transfer windows after Jan 2024. We are in this for the long run …..
