Davos 2024: Jane Goodall on Maintaining Hope on a Messy Planet

“The world is a mess,” Jane Goodall, the prolific environmentalist and foremost expert on chimpanzees, told TIME CEO Jessica Sibley at the TIME100 dinner on the first night of the summit. It’s a feeling of despair that she says is not new to the climate crisis, noting that even youth in the ’90s were losing hope. “They were telling me that they had lost hope because we had compromised their future and there was nothing they could do,” she says. “We haven’t just compromised their future-we’ve been stealing it, and we’re still stealing it today.”
“We need not just talking,” she says. “We need action.”

Thanks Jane and com.pany. that was my mother's name under a bit of family change. It's said you once was almost captured by Korean for researching monkeys ..in mountains ..so if it was Africa, be aware . Then we can talk about a prompt sending you forward as mother Theresa and do many singly looking or collective. That was then. Now we forward to my time in sixties and we look at affects of atomics . First the power reached space . That is the big issue because the Carrington also was a worry and our atmosphere is steady but abused . Imo. Let's say it was breached and then ozone was first point..how correct is next and carbons are important, at what level imperative. Since then science was control topic til senate inserted maybe their take on the aspect. So they best fix or get off the toilet .. because the gold rim was not theirs . .we must look at newtons law or the action in motion. Now refer to atomic situation and action in motion. They compromised our future and theirs and it's seen. Now let's see if all electric research learned it all . Hint, they did not . .. To use our light filter reversed is sending power out where it's drawn in at a specified rate. Now think at the rate suns rays eject . Too , the darkness may have entered suns atmosphere at a level. So the angle at testing, blowing and using time is needed .

"Maintaining Hope" in a period of climate collapse due to too many humans using too many natural resources while producing too much pollution, and heat from fossil fuel burning/the "Greenhouse Effect", is a fool's errand, as much as we love and respect Jane Goodall and her heroic efforts to save the chimps. There's no fool like an old fool. I should know, as I am one too.

How many grandchildren 10 let's see that equates to how many offspring? She wants depopulation why don't we start with her grandchildren? Does she know anything about science or do they just use a 90 year old for emotional purposes. You see there is this thing call ocean oscilliation that occurs naturally every so often and it can have an effect on weather (warmer, colder) volcanos also have an effect on weather and the government website NOAA explains all this. So, she has children, grandchildren, lives in a massive house, fly's around the world for 300 days a year, want's to ramp up abortion, and only turned vegan in 2015... Doesn't sound like the best role model tbh...
