At about 3:45 you said to make sure the first icon was selected. My toolbar doesn't look like yours at all - perhaps because I'm using C6? Can you tell me what that icon is? I can't find anything on mine that looks like that at all. When I draw the shape and release the mouse the shape is there but the picture doesn't come thru. Empty frame. And yes I'm on the layer with the picture.

Hi Mindy, yes you're right there is a different menu bar in CS6, When you select the Shape tool make sure that Path is selected from the first drop down menu. Make: Selection and that will do it:) Thanks for asking the question David

Stuck at 3:45... I am in CC 2015 and there's different options... can't figure it out. I can't find anything resembling the "middle option". Help ;)

Could you comeback to this now that 6 years has passed. Maybe use PS CC? This was amazing. I use Windows but like what +Mindy S. said the panel you have is a little different.

Asirvatham Benedict make sure you have Shape selected from the drop down menu in the menu bar, (left hand side) that should allow you to see the image. I will be doing a new video using CC in the very near future. Thanks for the kind comment, pleased to be able to help
