You should have climbed the little hill on the right after you got to 2000m. In 5min you would have seen an amazing view not only of Prahova Valley, but a good part of the Carpathian Mountains. It is one of the best viewing points from Romania.

Yes I was surprised as well he missed on that one and went strait back into the return cable car, that’s one of the best views in the Carpathians, worth more than a bit of a shiver, it’s so beautiful it’s simply worth even freezing for it…

Hi Davud! In Romania we say "Salut" or "Noroc" between friends! When you see people on street or you go into a shop or restaurant, you might say: "Buna ziua" which means "good day" in English. Have nice following days in Romania!

“Bună” actually would suffice , we say bună the same way Australians say “g’day” without pronouncing the entire “good”. “Bună” is pronounced sort of “boonah” and you can greet anyone that way, kids or the elderly, friends or strangers or shop assistants, the police, etc.

Stop being offended, saying ''buna ziua'' might not be the easiest for a foreigner to say and ''salut'' is much more simple and easy to remember. Besides, they know he's not Romanian as he immediatly switches to English and has an obvious accent, so people won't automatically assume he's being disrespectful they'll see he's just a tourist trying to get around the best way he can. ''Salut'' is fine.

Thank you for sharing such beautiful vlogs from Romania and not only our country ☺️ I also just wanted to say that unfortunately in Sinaia you stepped into all the tourist traps which happens to us too, like the restaurant with ‘traditional’ Romanian food with an Irish name.. the only thing I would say is maybe don’t say ‘this is how Romanians make bean soup’ because that’s not true at all, maybe say ‘this is how this place makes bean soup’ Also, up at 2000m there are really beautiful views but you only showed let’s call it ‘ the parking lot 🅿️’ 😅 because it’s was chilly and you climbed back into the gondola 🚠. Definitely if you are going to hike and go to higher altitudes, take some more layers with you, water, sunscreen and appropriate shoes. Good luck with your further travels!

I had terrible experiences in the Irish Pub in Sinaia, went twice, never again. Bucegi restaurant is the best in town. Enjoy your stay!

First time I went with family and the gulas i ordered was shit, second time I went with a group of artists and they chose the place although I advised not to. I thought they couldn't go wrong with a basic pizza but it was as try as my boot. My friends were qenerally happy with their orders so maybe I was the unlucky one. At the end they put stuff extra on our bill to top up my bad experience

I can't believe you reached the top of the mountain and didn't make more than 20 steps there, like to see more of that view and also to breath more of the highly oxygenated air that is there. Such a waste opportunity. When u going up the mountain always take care to have a jacket with you.

Me and my wife stayed at the Irish House some time back ( 2 or 3 years ago) before we had our kid... it was freakin' amazing! the rooms were nice and clean... not the biggest TVs, but hey, you re at the mountainside.. after a day of exploring, i fell on the bed like a log.... We didn t check the reviews before booking the location, and after seeing the reviews, my only thought was that the customers were either stuck up, or just plain nitpickers ... food was good, rooms were clean and nice... all the package .. ohh.. and i forgot about the freakin' free beer every night :))))

I hope you also have the city of Brașov in your itinerary. It is very beautiful and appreciated by foreign tourists, even Romanians. I was also at that restaurant recently, exactly the same boy served me. The music was a bit loud, the toilet was a bit unmaintained. I think they have a little too many tables and chairs, they get crowded and you wait for the dishes. Enjoy all your trip!

Here in Sinaia in winter it's full, and it's only 1 of many mountain resorts met from North to South in Oltenia... For me the best is Transalpina Ski Resort now, it's new, in front of a lake! But it's far from here. Poiana Brasov is also nice like Sinaia...
