She was widely known for her kindness, grace, and unmatched beauty. Leyli lived a simple and contented life, spending her days tending to the people of the city and her evenings gazing out at the Caspian Sea from the top of the Maiden Tower, which was her favorite spot in all of Baku. Leyli's father was the ruler of Baku, and he deeply loved his daughter. He decided to build a magnificent tower as a symbol of his love for Leyli and to protect her from any harm. The tower was constructed in such a way that it had no entrance at ground level, and its only access was a single door high above the ground. As the years went by, Leyli's beauty and grace continued to enchant those who saw her. Many suitors came from near and far, hoping to win her heart, but Leyli remained devoted to her father and the tower. She would converse with her admirers from the tower's heights but refused to descend. One day, a young man named Qurban arrived in Baku. He was struck by Leyli's beauty and asked for her hand in marriage. Determined to prove his love, he decided to climb the tower and reach her. After much effort and determination, Qurban managed to scale the tower's sheer walls and reach the door. He knocked gently, and Leyli, astonished and impressed by his courage, let him in. The two fell deeply in love, and Leyli and Qurban vowed to be together forever. However, their love story faced many trials and tribulations, as her father disapproved of their union. The couple's love and determination to be together only grew stronger, and they hatched a plan to escape. One fateful night, they managed to escape from the tower and flee Baku. They traveled far and wide, seeking a place where they could be together in peace. The Maiden Tower, which had once been a symbol of protection and isolation, had now witnessed a love so powerful that it overcame all obstacles. Today, the Maiden Tower stands as a testament to the enduring power of love and as an enduring symbol of Baku's rich history. Whether or not the story of Leyli and Qurban is entirely accurate, the Maiden Tower continues to capture the imagination of visitors and remains a cherished part of Azerbaijan's cultural heritage.

Чох Сахул Давуд! Thank you for a nice tour. I left Baku in 1980 and I will get to see it again in few weeks and I can’t wait! It was the most beautiful city back then and it is even more beautiful now. Beautiful city and people and of course the famous cuisine, there is no better. I still make all the dishes at home. I am counting days and hours to see all this again and to eat the delicious food. Thank you Brother!

​@@shayansxon11 I think it was last year when a Kurdish woman was killed because she didn't wear a hijab, so Iran is an awful place in terms of human rights. It is so sad to see a country which has such a beautiful culture like that. I think 1$ is about 40000 Iranian money which shows an economical crisis. The country has a lot of oil and gas resources but can't develop properly.
