Well…. give Disney credit I think this is probably one of the earliest and one of the few films they did with the Disney logo where the main character died and stayed dead.

I only watched these as individual episodes when I was a kid, and they are absolutely a product of the 1950's. Did they do an accurate job at portraying Native Americans? LOL no. But the messages they attempted to convey seem fairly progressive for the time, and that part still holds up IMO.
