You should do a full pirates of the carribbean score...individually just like this.

Oh goodness. Every. Single. One? xD That would be a long term project lol. I think I've only recorded four "Pirates" songs to start with. So I would have to do individual videos for all the other songs and then do individual sheet music videos for all of them. Sounds tiring lol

Thank you very much! At the beginning of the year I planned out what sheet music video I would do for every week. That worked for like two months. Now I just willy nilly do whatever 😂 So if someone asks for a song I've already recorded audio for, I just go ahead and slap some sheet music to it lol

Perhaps. I'm doing these sheet music videos off of previous recordings I've done in the past. I don't think I've done a ton of Hans Zimmer. Maybe in the future, though :)

If I wanted to do a cover of this on my KZbin channel, playing my trumpet, could I do it without getting a copyright strike, etc. and without having to pay any money?
@cassidy17343 жыл бұрын
I meant for paying money for anything other than the sheet music, itself.
@thetrumpetman3 жыл бұрын
@@cassidy1734 Based on my personal experience I think you could without getting a copyright strike or paying money. You will get a copyright claim, though, which doesn't do anything to your channel but it means the copyright holder either shares ad revenue with you or they take all the ad revenue themselves. Again, this is based off my experiences so far. I have no copyright strikes so far, but theoretically a music company could decide tomorrow that they want to get copyright strikes put on videos that use their music. I don't know. But for me I've only gotten copyright claims up to this point.

This is great but your dynamics are a bit off- as a conductor id have that quite a bit softer for the p marking. Rather what you played was mf in the soft section and f in the section marked mf.
@thetrumpetman3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I can see that. I try to make the dynamics reflect the recording best I can. My thinking in this one was that I didn't want the dynamics to go too extreme, like FFF. So I thought of it as more relative. Piano sections definitely could've been softer, though.
@Harlem553 жыл бұрын
@@thetrumpetman A helpful way to think of it is that each marking roughly increases the volume by a quarter- so that mf is roughly double p, and ff is roughly double mf. However, its largely a stylistic difference- and each conductor has their own way of approaching it in the setting of the symphony ensemble. But it's a good reference point as a starting position to approach solo work- though you would adjust depending on overall style and what the composer intended to the piece to feel like (for example allegro vs. allegro con brio, etc.)
