Really good video Rob I watched the whole thing. Few points: Indonesian scholars tell Muslim men that the Christian women you are allowed to marry in the Quran refers to Eastern Orthodox Christians NOT Protestant Evangelicals. We really need to help people in the community get married regardless. No reason to delay. Also, we really need to push back on the idea of romantic love before marriage or at least the least amount of passion possible. Even if there is no sex, it always clouds judgement.

They are all trinitarian and were trinitarian at the time of Muhammad as well, peace be upon him. Jews are also polytheists according to Islamic scholars. But they're all exempt from the marriage ban.

@@aar8808 Yeah, but most fail to meet the conditions (especially being chaste, and living in a Muslim dominated society). Christian women from al-Andalus would've probably been fine, but from the USA is a stretch. The rules are there for good reason. Let's not lose any more Muslim kids in family courts.

If we look into why this happens, we would find out that one of the reasons is that Muslims don't have access to Muslim singles because either there is not enough of them or the men are shut out by a few Muslim women controlling access to other Muslim women.

Yes, that is definitely a reason. Islamic leadership doesn’t do nearly enough in terms of gender interaction for halal purposes. This is how people get to know one another and eventually get married. They often take separation to such an unwarranted degree that a lot of brothers turn to courting Sally in Algebra class.
