Chapter 71 verse 19 says, "And Allâh has made for you the earth a wide expanse." God then selected him to be the progenitor of a new race and the precursor of a new civilization. Created, as it were, out of the dead, he represented the dawn of a new era of life. Allah has said, “And when thy Lord said to the angels, I am about to place a vicegerent in the earth, they said, Wilt Thou place therein such as will cause disorder in it, and shed blood? We glorify Thee with Thy praise and extol Thy holiness. He answered, I know what you know not.” (2:31) In this verse, God has used the word khalifah for Adam (peace be upon him). Khalifah in Arabic means a successor. It is, therefore, clear that men had existed and lived on earth before Adam (peace be upon him) whom he succeeded. In short, the Holy Qur’an speaks of that Adam (peace be upon him) who was appointed as Khalifah and the first Prophet of God, and who was raised for the guidance of mankind. God appointed him a prophet and taught him the knowledge and made him the leader of men. It is worthwhile to mention that in Islam there is not concept of Instant creation. God was the guiding force behind all his creation in all stages of development. Science has proven that human race existed even 200k years before.

His descendents has a list of messengers, All had to follow the shariyah of hazrat ibrahim As. Hazrat Musa AS ( jews call him moses) was a messenger when he preyed God to help bani israel, Allah revealed Torah book on him. Allah helped him and made a path in sea which led to save bani israel from Cruel Pharoh of time. Bani israel mean descendents of israel ( israel is name of messenger hazrat Yaqoob AS the grandson of Ibrahim AS). At that time then even Shariyah was of Hazrat Ibrahim AS. Then Last messenger came and the shariyah come to Hazrat Muhammad PBUH. Allah revealed Quran As last message on Messenger Muhammad PBUH even it completes the contexts of previous messengers. Muslims follow the shariyah of Hazrat Muhammad, that doesn't mean Islam started 1400 years ago.

It's mainly due to the poor education we get. Even science teacher's are unaware of this basic information. Also other issue is the linear diagram of human evolution we used for studying human evolution. Even though it's used for easy understanding of human evolution rather than using complex tree diagram, it can cause confusion to the readers and misunderstanding that human comes from monkeys.
