Jeff's point is 100% accurate- UGA forces teams into one style of game. The only teams that beat them or give them trouble are teams that have QBs who can run AND pass (this season was milroe, Dart, king, van buren). ND struggles to throw the ball down field.

I think the one thing no one is talking about is the QBs that Kirby/defense has issues with are true Dual Threats, not just runners. The GT game also is more of a one off as their Offense is a hybrid triple option as well. But also, King threw for over 300 yards. I don’t see Leonard doing that

Definitely don’t see him being that effective passing. For the year he was ranked 76th in the country in yards and 55th TDS.

@@MG-fn9xw ummm Kirby never coached against Will Grier, Mac Jones was a product of an amazing WR group. All the others have one major thing in common, the ability to complete a pass down field and do it well. Leonard does not have that ability, or at least has not shown it, nor has ND this year

Leaonard doesn't have numbers because he hasn't HAD to have crazy pass stats to win games. Not to mention, he hasn't had to play full games almost all season. He's on the sidelines by mid third quarter most games. He is accurate, a game manager, experienced, and can use his legs better than most qbs left in the cfp.

​@ThereWentTheIrish that would be a true statement about Leonard if we didnt have a pretty large sample size at Duke....as well as the loss to NIU. When the game was in his hands vs NIU he threw 2 picks and 163yds. He has 0 games of over 230yd this season and only 5 games over 250 in his career. All of which came in 2022. This is a terrible matchup for ND
