I used to build PCs for a large whitebox VAR. We were basically an Intel only shop, and installed several thousand stock Intel coolers. While they are small, and not adequate for things like overclocking, the fans last FOREVER. I saw PCs that we built which ran for years with never being cleaned and those coolers completely caked in dust, and the fans just chugged right on through it. Zero bearing noise and nearly zero speed drop. Compared to most aftermarket coolers I've seen, the stock Intels are old faithful.

The point, and the best thing about Pc gaming is, you don't have to have the best most capable hardware to game. The PC game library is so vast, and have games that are literal decades old, you can game on any type of PC. I have a super banging Pc, and I play San Andreas, Max Payne 2 and The Movie (PC Game). I have bought all the latest ones, still I prefer the older games. And those could run on my Pentium 4 Pc from the past! It's not like consoles, where backward compatibility is a limited option.

This case is an incredible case. It's called the Ranger-M and is their somewhat fancier take on their own Line-M, which in turn is their remake on the Elite 341 by Cooler Master from the later half of the first decade after 2000. I've had the Elite 341 and now have the Line-M, and the only difference between them is the Line-M and Elite 341 are that the Line-M has usb3 and only one 3.5" external bay while the Elite 341 came out before usb3 and has two 3.5" external bays. The Ranger-M's only difference from the Line-M is its faceplate. This case is plenty capable of housing a newer i7/3070 or stronger system safely because by having the psu up top, it streamlines the front intake with the cpu cooler and exhaust. Also, you can add two more fans right on the side panel, which increases airflow still. All of the fan mounts are for 120mm fans, just like on the Elite 341. Having a blower on the gpu makes it even better still because that bottom side mounted fan will feed it additional fresh air. I still say the Line-M and even the Elite 341 are still marginally better though because they have only mesh covering the front intake while the Ranger-M has those bars crossing over it. Oh, and apparently the Ranger-M also has its drive bay inside the cage, while the Line-M has mounting tabs on the underneath of the external bay cage, and the Elite 341 has those tabs and an additional set on the botton, for the fan to blow their heat off. By the way, the Elite 341 was a modder's wet dream. At the time, there were all sorts of mod supplies like window kits along with individual parts like custom etched or plane acrylic and edge mounting also available, led feet, cold cathode tube kits in all kinds of colors including uv, uv reactive everything from cables to individual parts like sleeving and connectors and such, EL wire, slot covers, etc. It really really was a fun case, especially if you painted the inside a nice matte black because of the silver.

I gave that whole computer to my mother and is still running strong to this day but I did set the cpu to stock speeds to help prolong the life of the cpu and motherboard despite being oced for over 2 years with heavy use. I did have ab hyper 212 evo on it and kept the cpu temps in the mid 60s. Gotta say that is the best budget cooler ever. I even used it on my 6700k oced to 4.8ghz @1.375v and kept it in the mid 70s. One thing you can say about this build is that it's very upgradeable. You could make major upgrades a piece at a time. Add the biggest 7200RPM hard drive you can find to give it some more space for files while keeping the system on an SSD. Perhaps starting with a single 8GB RAM chip would be more practical and would allow adding an 8GB chip to get to 16GB (though even adding a 4GB chip to get to 8GB would be quite the upgrade). You know the motherboard could handle a lot better processor. Once you had a better processor, you would have a lot of options of discrete graphics cards that would still be an improvement. That power supply does worry me, though. I'm always afraid that really cheap power supplies will be a fire hazard. I subscribe to the , 'never skimp on power supply quality,' philosophy.

You can forget about running GTA 5 at any comprehensible resolution and passable framerates. Some A6 models may overclock to 5GHz or even more (AMD FX legacy), but no matter how much you polish a turd it's still a turd. It would need at least 8GHz overclock to match Celeron used in this video.

More RAM would have helped, but the funny thing is a dedicated graphics card wouldn't have made any difference since the CPU couldn't even use the integrated graphics to full potential. You could have added a RTX 3090 and the results would have been just as terrible.

You also need a separate warranty on your home for when the PSU causes it to burn to the ground.

I’m curious how much better this PC could have been if the “budget” was like just about $50 more…Maybe like a Pentium instead of a Celeron and 8GB of RAM instead of 4GB 🤔 Definitely still not a “GOOD” PC but would be an interesting experiment.

my area must just be weird, im not in a rich area or anything, my school always would put ALL of their money into the computers. before I graduated all of the laptops had i5 9400s with 16gb of ram lol. and there were 30 per classroom and these weird carts. other than that the school was a terrible place to be because that's where the money went.

Some mixed comments: 1. The computer seems well balanced between CPU and GPU power. 2. I'd opt for a cheap HDD instead, to get more storage. 3. The PSU having an input voltage selector switch is a big warning sign to me.
