Venti's role as a psychopomp (soul guide to the afterlife) is very interesting because we've never seen any other Archon do anything like this. Every other Archons' abilities make sense, Nahida can read minds and weave dreams because of Dendro's link to minds and Irminsul, Geo lets you see the memories of stone, and Hydro contains people's emotions. But Anemo? Yeah, Venti's abilities to summon winds of the past make sense since time & wind are linked, but being a psychopomp? Nowhere is any link to death mentioned for Anemo, except the belief of Mondstat's people that dying in a windless place means you're just kinda stuck for all eternity. (And gee golly, I sure do wonder where that came from-) I have a hypothesis though- you mentioned Egeria and her power over life, but the interesting thing about her is that this power doesn't just come from the Shade Of Life, but also her position as the replacement for the Hydro Sovereign, Teyvat's original God Of Life. Now, I don't know if wind was always linked with time, because that seems to very much be an Istaroth thing- so maybe before this, it was linked with death. Perhaps the original Anemo Sovereign was the closest thing Teyvat had to a God Of Death before the Shades arrived, and to some extent, Venti inherited that. Maybe he too was a replacement for the Anemo Sovereign in a similar vein to how Egeria was meant to replace the Hydro Sovereign, or the Anemo Archon in general inherits this power. I mean, Venti only refers to himself as a wisp of a Thousand Winds, but he's proven to be an unreliable narrator, so perhaps there's more that we haven't learned yet. (The circumstances around his ascension are really weird- but that's a topic for another day).

The theory goes like this: there are 3 shades of time the shade of life is the start of time the shade of time is in between start and end and istaroth is the shade of death the end of time. The easy answer: Venti is well aware of the ‘journey is more important than the Destination’ trope, and will ride it to kingdom come until the Khaenri’ah quests. The more nuanced answer: Venti is specifically being forbidden from revealing anything by a higher power, be it Istaroth, The Sustainer, Or Phanes themselves. He’s carrying secrets that the Abyss Order would love to get their hands on, especially since it seems their goal is to create a god that can alter fate, and who better than Istaroth who literally controls Time itself? Not to mention that his Archon statue in the town of Mondstadt literally says ‘Gateway to Celestia’. Though I wonder if Venti is really afraid of repercussions from the Heavenly Principles, or if he’s trying to safeguard something of dire importance. With both Phanes and Istaroth missing and the Sustainer dying, it doesn’t make sense that he would be afraid of them if he spills something, especially since both he and Nahida know that the Heavenly Principles has been silent since the Cataclysm. Another way that Venti might know so much of the past and future is because he is aware of the Time Loops happening in Teyvat, and has witnessed each one, hence why he knows who we are (though if we are in a time loop, it seems this is our first one). Personally, I feel that Venti will play a significant role in regards to the Abyss Order given how heavily involved they were in Mondstadt’s main story. Maybe his unwillingness to fess up any secrets about Celestia is also why he and the Tsaritsa seem to be at odds with one another. And also, the idea that Venti gave up his Gnosis willingly seems to be the correct answer. I mean, Venti literally teleported when Traveler met Dvalin for the first time. Would Ice really have stopped him from vanishing or even blowing La Signora away? And she’s nowhere near the level of Dottore, who could actually force an Archon like Nahida to give up a Gnosis in a fight.

He seems sincere when he says that he does not know were the Abyss order comes from. I took him at his word, I don't think the archons necessarily know about the Abyss order, that would be information that Celestia want to erase or denied exist at all. Just like it is very likely that they do not know what the Gnosis is. Venti described it as an enhanced vision while that may be true he never mentioned the descender theory and if he is sincere in helping the traveller that would have been very useful information for us to have.

@@Qx8zk So what I actually think the game is trying to tell us is that depending on who is looking at a certain object in this world they see it completely different. The "real" vision of Theyvat is probably hell, because it is run by the demons of ars goetia. The Egeria take is interesting but I actually believe she is the wife of Deshret and tries to restore order from what she feels she is responsible for. What is fantasy for us, demonic creatures is reality for divinity. They are def doing something with the definition of what is a reality. Descartes famously said that "I think therefore I am" well Genshin is doing something similar but instead of think they say dream. The definition of what is real, becomes extremely murky because of the fact that Irminsul exists. Irminsul has the ability to turn memories and fantasy into reality but in some sense a fake reality just like there is a fake sky in Theyvat. This idea is built upon the cave allegory in Plato. Some humans live in a cave they have never seen the light behind them burns a fire the fire reflects visions of something on the cave wall, the prisoners naturally think it is "real" because they are unable to see the fire behind them causing the visions to happen. Now is it real or not? Well it is real in their imagination and the definition of reality becomes harder. If there is no evidence for that it is not real, can you still say that it isn't. Once freed the prisoners are angry because the light burns their eyes and they are unable to enjoy freedom for as long as they live. This is what is going on

Tsaritsa is often portrayed in an antagonistic view, yet it seems like the Tsaritsa has her own justification for it. It sounds a lot like Cocolia who is, in about every world, a villain, but has her own justification behind it. She does it for something she loves but goes far too much on the extremes to resolve the situation. As we currently see, in the Traveller's eyes, Tsaritsa's method are in the extreme and we often had to wonder if it was even necessary. However, since we know that the cryo archon is Bronya, it's very likely that the previous archon is Cocolia and influenced Bronya a lot, even raised her. Like in many worlds, Bronya is found under Cocolia's care, being that she was in an orphanage owned by Cocolia or that she was adopted by her. Either way, Bronya's story is often heavily related to Cocolia, so I won't be surprised if we find out that Bronya was following Cocolia's ideology and was the previous cryo archon

If you look in HSR the both versions of Bronya in this game are not so evil or they are presented under a good look. Bronya was rude at the beginning but not so stubborn and when she discovered the truth about the Underworld she fought his mother for help the survivors. Silverwolf and the other Stellaron Hunters aren't presented as absolutely evil. They act like Elio want and he has a precise plan. But honestly I think if it's Cocolia she is manipulated by Pierro. How can we believe a Khaen'rhian, a nation who despise the gods, when he said that he wants to help her? He still resents not having been chosen by the king as one of his mages. He wants revenge for Khaen'rhia. The Tsaritsa, whoever she is, is just a pawn on the 4D chess of Pierro. And a last thing I can’t imagine Bronya accepting the horrors committed by Dottore and Crucabena whatever the higher reason that would push her to get there, however it fits much more with the differents versions of Cocolia. Again the CBT said the Tsaritsa was a really good person.

I have a theory about Venti and his “sleep”. I think spirit form Venti exists at all moments and points in time. To him all of time is happening at the same time and he can see it all. But physical form Venti does not exist at all moments. When he takes a physical form to appear at one point in time it removes physical form Venti from all other points in time. In order to explain the length of absence he can simply claim he’s sleeping. But in reality he’s just moved physical Venti to a different point in time. Physical form cannot exist everywhere all at the same time because physical forms occupy space. If his physical form was everywhere at the same time then everything would just be him. Spiritual form occupies no space and therefore it can be everywhere at all times. This is why he knows every song ever written. He was there when it happened. Which also means he sees you touching yourself you perverts….

I think Venti does not "guide souls" per se, at least not in the Stanley case. Sure, he is a god of breeze and hope, so he gives souls hope for a pleasant afterlife or whatever, but the "Stanley" he retrieved felt more like a memory of the goon who impersonated him. So that Venti allowed him to pass on Stanley's memory... Do not forget, he impersonated him in order to keep Stanley's memory from fading - it does not fade once the bard god has it, I suppose. So yeah, I personally do not see him having "powers over death" rather just his typical portfolio of stories etc. I would expect the power of the SHade of Death to be about taking souls that overstayed their welcome among the living or things like that... Honestly, we need more lore on the shades...

About that voiceline at the end... My theory is that, in a future quest, we are going to time travel to the past. The reason Venti remembers us is because, in the past, he met our future selves. While we don't remember him because we've yet to visit the past Idk if that makes sense lmao I speculate that there's going to be a quest where we time travel, maybe back to old Mondstadt. Since Venti has a big connection with the god of time, i believe a quest like that is not far from possible!!

Gods tap into elements for their knowledge of things. Zhongli gets memories from the earth, Venti gets songs from the winds and I think this is power they get from dragons authorities. This is is something Neuvillette and Azhdaha do through their respective elements also. How Venti and Zhongli can appear in dreams and perform astral projections. I think Venti went from the strongest to the weakest. Venti's whole stick is that he wants to give back the power to the people more so than the other archons I would say. Now since the archons power is derived from peoples belief in said phenomena this is the reason why he says he is the weakest. However this can change. Jean may very well make a decision to announce to Mondstadt that the Anemo Archon never left and has been living among them for all this time without craving any power what so ever, I believe this will make him the most beloved archon of the 7 and therefore the strongest. He intentionally hides within Mondstadt as a drunken bard. That is not true for Zhongli or Ei. Sure Zhongli retired but everyone knows that he exists they just don't know who but that is not necessary in order to worship someone. Ei is pretty much an empress ruling Inazuma without making any apology about it. Venti however is different and the reason for that lies in the archon war. Signora says "insolent bard you should have held your tongue" I believe this refers to something much much later, not the dialogue they are having in the scene. It refers to when Venti ordered Rostam to go to the Archon war.

Venti during the archon war was so weak like he can only help Jean's Ancestors to survive the cold through Warm winds I guess? After all he is a wind spirit. I have thought how is Venti called a "God" if he is that weak? Surely if he is just a normal spirit then Andrius would surely be the winner no questions and no choosing. Which coincides with venti being istaroth's child. Afterall a being born from God is a God too right? Anyways I have long thought how he got op so fast after decarabian died and Andrius denied the seat. Surely the gnosis is the source of power right? No, because if it is then why can he still use the element after losing the gnosis? There lies the answer on the fontaine archon quest. It has been hinted that the heavenly principles took a very important thing from the Dragon sovereigns. That's why they can't retaliate. Which is also why Neuvillette can't control the primordial sea before focalors' death. Some might say that the Gnosis is the power source which i don't think so. It's a power booster or maybe a" battery" that lets the archon use the element longer and continously? (more on that below). But still how can such a small wisp suddenly be boosted to a point of shaping mondstadt? Is it really that powerful? Then if it is, shouldn't venti lost power after losing the gnosis? Here comes fontaine archon quest. Remember when Neuvilette said that when focalor destroyed her seat was he able to have full control of the element. Regaining " Full Authority" is how he saved fontaine. A divine seat must be destroyed before he gain full control of Hydro element. That's why focalor died. If the authority is in the gnosis she doesn't need to die but she needed to because the authority was tied to her seat. Makes sense that Venti suddenly gained power after becoming the archon. Gnosis plus Anemo authority. Another one is why the need for Gnosis? If they are given the "authority" through the seat? Well it's because they don't have full authority. If they get the full authority it's stripping the whole dragon sovereign of its powers and existence. Neuvi can still use hydro before the seat was destroyed. Apep is still a huge dendro dragon. So I think they need the Gnosis to boost the percentage of power (authority) stolen from the Dragons. Venti get tired easily because no battery. Zhongli could not continously create mora due to the lost of this power booster or battery or maybe even charger to fully and continously produce mora. Akasha system can't fully operate cause it needs continuous power. And the Oratrice can't judge now that both archon and Gnosis are gone. It needs a part of the element authority + gnosis to be very op. Also Nahida can use both Gnosis. (electro and dendro) but Ei can't? Maybe because she's trying to use it as a power source for her puppets instead of a booster. Does that mean that Tsaritsa plans to be Op through using All Gnosis? Or is it really to bring someone back from life? How does the Gnosis produce such continous energy? The How maybe because of the ability of the 3rd descender which is eerily similar to traveler's identity. (3rd descender's body is turned into Gnosis). But still, how can zhongli just stop making mora if he still has authority. Surely a few mora won't count.. (unless mora are labeled like irl so no fraud can happen and mora must come from the golden house). *sigh* So many what ifs. Also, Venti being a Guide must be because he Guided the nameless bard and wants everyone to be free from regrets? Or maybe he absorbs themmm. (dun dun dunnnnn). I also realized that maybe at ver 5 will Venti story 2 be released. Varka is in Natlan right? He met capitano afterall. Maybe what they're researching was part of Barbatos' story quest. About Venti saying we meet again, I think we saw the answer, this one he didn’t hide very well. When he got beaten by Signora, he said that „she decided to do it… again” sorry, but as we know her story, I don’t believe that woman even wanting vengance would go fighting with their archon (he was showing himself as Barbatos then) and even win, and I’ll ignore she got that crown of Fire suffering, it still shouldn’t happen. Okay, so if she didn’t beat him then, what did he mean by again? I think he met us, traveler before. (This could be true looking at he as Son of Time shade) and as we solved Dvalin’s problem before, Signora decided to kick him and steal his gnosis. Venti is definitely hiding something. - Out of all the statues in Teyvat, His statue was the one the abyss stole even though they knew that the church cleans the statues regularly. His upside down statue also looks like a fallen angel (sinner) and even had the exact chain placements as the crystal we see during the caribert quest. - Our twin also mentioned that they had a contingency plan in place for Venti during the Dvalin quest. Meaning that the twin knew Venti would come out of his "slumber" because Dvalin was running rampant. Our twin knew what Venti was capable of and needed a contingency in place. (iirc don't remember if the abyss had plans in place for when they tried to take over osail). -Venti is also famous for befriending people. -He convinced the spirit of Andrius to safe guard part of Mondstadt even though the Andrius was hesitant. -Be friended Dvalin through songs and taught him human language to interact with people. -Be friended Zhongli which in turn created a gathering for the 7 archons (and whoever those archons want to bring) -Mada'am Ping's creation of the Mondstadt house in the teapot was inspired from when she heard a "certain bard" visited an adeptus abode (idk which one but it implies he's friends with some of the adepti) -Even be friended Alice and the Hexenzirkel. Alice and the rest of the witches also are comfortable enough to leave their meeting place and "children" in Mondstadt (Klee, Albedo and Mona). -Barbatos according to Ars Goteia is able to give you the ability to understand animals (the kid who swore someone told him there were talking animals), reveal secret treasures hidden by magicians (ehem seelies ehem) and tell you about the past and the future (his "songs").

In my mind, the prayers of the Church of Favonious power Venti, and he keeps their faith in a big well in the elemental realm or some shit. Or maybe in the past/future, since he can seem to control time somewhat? But I think this is why hes technically weakest, because he is a true godly conduit, only made divine by the faith of Mondstadters in the first place. I think he's weakest in terms of raw powerful but in terms of information and influence he's one of the strongest. He tends to know more than he lets on and I think that him having death ties is more related to his ties to stories and the "end of times". Additonally we know from Nahida that allegorical stories can be used to circumvent Irminsul tampering. He also has ties with the hexenzirkle, who's members include Alice, Mona's master, fucking Rinedotter/Gold aka: "the sinner responsible for the cataclysm" I'd say his mere connection to the witches bumps him up pretty high on the power and influence scale.
