I don't think it's arrogance based on collectibles' - There's a shadow in right bottom, looking exactly like Loyd's plushie, which makes me think it's Golden version. Speaking of, Loyd's plushie desription says that Indigo Park used to have more of Loyd's image around. I think it's not arrogance, but the fact that they might be rivals in being more popular.

Near the end Rambley goes on a bit about his registration trademark and ends it by saying it expired yesterday. Registration trademarks last for 10 years, when you link with the fact it's been around 8 years since the park shutdown. That means it was open for about 2 years. I predict that the arcade minigames are gonna be an analogy of how the park fell apart. Whoever Salem is suppose to represent sabotaged the franchise by turning the mascot hostiles. We can see blood on Molly's beak, Finley's neck and Lloyd's paws, implying at least each of them killed someone (Bit via beak, crushed via coiling, and mauled via claws respectively). As for what the mascots really are, we don't got a lot to work with. Only the fact Molly got flesh and blood underneath the costume. Either they're all humans turned psychotic pretending to be these characters, or they're some kind of real life anthropomorphic animal experiments that went wild one day. They're not animatronics that's for sure.

They cant be humans, if you pick a collectable of a rambley mask and give it to rambley at the info kiosk, he'll tell you its an old mascot costume and give you an audio of recording of the mascot employee complaining about geting fired cause hes replaced with the new mascots

The trademark was likely renewed multiple times, plus the Ranglers program could've been introduced after the park's formal opening. Combined with the black and white footage of the park's opening, it seems pretty clear it was open for a lot longer than 2 years.

@@Lightnatee but the line "Did I earn your trust?" in the ending song, and the fact that it comes after he spams loads of questions without pausing and stops on that line - it's just off. Why would he say that? Why did he linger on it? Why is an AI racoon able to upgrade our security clearance or whatever it was? Why did he KNOWINGLY send us into danger? There's just so much weird gaps that it doesn't make sense for him not to be evil or bad. And then there was the bad guy in that arcade cabinet game - he had a "potion" that LITERALLY TURNED THE BIRD EVIL! What if he used that on Rambly? It's a possibility! IT JUST DOESN'T MAKE SENSE FOR HIM NOT TO BE EVIL! Regardless of what ANYONE says - I will be trusting that racoon as far as I can throw him, which isn't very far because I can't throw him at all. I'm not even 15 minutes in and this game has won me over. First of all, the first chapter is free, which is always good with indie games. Second, the character of Rambley is so charming and fun. Three, it's models nice and the environments are well detailed. Four, no pushing merch, though I would love a Rambley plush. One Huge question I have about the story is the mascots. What are they? I assumed the ranglers were meant to keep the mascots from going crazy like shipwrecked 64's starlings. But i think the ranglers are the security. If these mascots are people merged into the suits like shipwrecked, then i'd have my blood boil. That game freaks me out deeply. It makes me sick. It's that scary.

This game has a stupid amount of potential. The gameplay feels like Security Breach, but the story and visuals are awesome. I love Rambley’s animations and his whole thing reminds me of Wheatly from Portal 2. Rambley’s dialogue sounds like he’s hiding a sinister motive for wanting to get control of the park or (Portal 2 spoilers) he might just decide to betray you when he gets that power like Wheatly did. This is basically Portal 2 and Security Breach but if Security Breach wasn’t made for children (because of the gore at the end and I feel like the next chapters will get progressively darker). Overall really fun concept, I hope this game does well in the future.

So, it's clear now that the aggressive mascots are *not* animatronics. We see a broken down animatronic of Mollie in Rambley's Railroad, and it looks clearly different from the Mollie we see later. Plus, Mollie is shown to be an organic being, judging by all the blood and guts when she's decapitated. For now, my bet is that the mascots used to be regular animals (a macaw, some sort of snake/eel, a lion...) that were experimented on and eventually mutated into what they are now. It would be a bit more original than having them just be humans or fueled by the souls of humans, especially if it's children. We've already seen that in every Generic Mascot Horror™ and this game seems to be doing kind of its own thing, which is great!
