Hey bro whatsup ! Thanks. Your videos really inspire me. Love the way you explain and then apply things. I use a daw that mainly replace your MPC (and 2 synth) but the workflow and the methods stays !!! Thanks for sharing.

Lucien, Aaron B from East Van here. Hope you're well my friend. Question; What mixer are you using? The one above the 909 and 303? And, Big love and respect for sharing your wisdom. you're a good dude, Lucien. Thank you.

Hi Aaron! For the moment I’m using a L12 Livetrak (ZOOM) mixer as it’s amazing for its multitrack capabilities. There is limited headroom though

W🔥W you're a great teacher. Thank you. I love the Acid Tech. I'm from Chicago, and I was there when all Chitown styles came out. I used to go to all the clubs, not to party, but to dance to all the House, Deep House, and Acid( Thunder) House, haaaahaaa. Such a blessing. Farley Jackmaster Funk would be his Corvette bassing it! It was fun. Thank you for this video. Have a great day.

@@AnalogKitchen I'm not sure if I've been there, but to be honest, I may have been. Back then, Clubs came and went. I was at the Warehouse, Rivera, Rainbow, Excaliburs, China Club( Tupac, actually walked up to me there, and asked me of another club), I will look into it, it's crazy I may have saw you there. Haaaahaaa. I know I've seen Carl Cox, and many others too, later on. I went to Crowbars a lot. It's an absolute pleasure I ran into you here on KZbin. I will, and already have sent your video links to others. You are a great teacher, keep it up, Galatians 6:9 is for you. I will be putting out a video later today. I will post it. If you do watch it, remember, I'm just a Rookie Hahaha. Much luv brother.

Great content AK! What is the process of say you wanted to have 2 separate parts of the same synth? Like 2 separate tracks of the same synth. Say a lead and pads. I have a Live 2 and every time I try this it changes the sound of the original part I've recorded via midi to that of the 2nd parts patch. I have a multitimbral polybrute and changing midi channels doesn't work. My work around is recording one of the parts as a audio track in the MPC but that takes away the option to adjust the envelopes etc. It's not very convenient
@AnalogKitchen
@AnalogKitchen 2 жыл бұрын
I hear you. I mostly want to fatten up the pads as higher notes tend to be more audible if the filter is up. Also just pads may sometimes sound a tad predictable so you want some embedded variety. And if you have a polyphonic synth that can handle it, why not make the most of it. I’m not sure where your problem comes from. It sounds like a question I’ll put forward in my community.

Love the channel! Question, I was given a mpc2000xl in working condition. Would it be worth using in the same way you use the mpc live 2 in your setup? I dont use it for sampling or beats I just want to use it to sequence live sets like yours. Is it more trouble than its worth?
@AnalogKitchen
@AnalogKitchen 2 жыл бұрын
Well to be honest. The strong thing about the mpc has to be the way it handles MIDI. So I think it’s well worth a shot. Try it out and see if you like the workflow

Thanks for the video. I saw you replaced the Model D with the Sub37 recently but also kept the Minitaur? How would you compare the sound of those three and why did you replace the Model D? Thanks a lot !!
@AnalogKitchen
@AnalogKitchen 2 жыл бұрын
Hey Jens! Alles ok? I love the Model D and have used it extensively. The Minitaur is a versatile machine with power for the really low regions. I needed a NTO - Alter Ego type bass synth and the Mini does that. For the sound I want to make, I also needed a more ‘modern’ type Moog sound and the Model D is a Minimoog of sorts and thus an ‘older’ kind of sound. The Paraphonic characters of the Sub are amazing and it fits the current Artbat/Bodzin/NTO sound more.

13:45 Since deadmau5 pointed that out [ kzbin.info/www/bejne/a3Pdpmuug9VojpY ] and since then, I also turn down the decay on my 909. Besides that; 133 is always my tempo. My Multiclock stays at 133.3 bpm all the time. Btw, I just found out that the multiclock can be used in a mode where the lower row of knobs controls the tempo divider which is great for downbeats, let's say I have my 303 run in half or even 1/3 tempo. Call & Response also works great imho with multiple 303s. That's why I have a couple of alternatives to the 303. Both the Roland TB-03 and TB-3 and also the infamous TD-3. They all don't really sound and feel like the real thing, but that's why they all work just great accompanying it. They kinda mix themselves. The 303 is very present, so a second 303 would have to be carved around the bold one. I find the clones to be thin in general and not that pleasant-sounding, and especially the TB-03 sounds very "digital". Like an 8-bit-recording of a 303. But I like it for exactly THAT purpose. The TB-3 for instance is a great live unit due to the touchpad. Pretty much a KaossPad-303 🤩 One last thing, the clicking sound from the 909 buttons is so adorable and should be included into all 909-sample-packs.

@@AnalogKitchen That's my plan for this year. To put out some videos here and there. Up to now, I use my setup for personal recreation purposes. Other people play the guitar or piano or whatnot in their spare time. Since I cannot play these properly, my "instrument" is this. I usually don't record things, I just play.
