I've never been to Dawlish, in my life, but these amazing videos make me want to come in the future, when everything is finished, and see the new sea wall and the accessible station.

Yayfor Dawlish! I live nearby in Exeter, visit the town a few times a year and love it. Walk or cycle along the front "when it's available". Dawlish Warren too.

Fantastic for me to view now living 8000' up in the Andes. I used to commute through Dawlish regularly as a student (Pz to Ldn)

Very poor organisation that they wait until the day the rig arrives to prepare access for it. Should have all been in place long before it arrived. Only needed a breakdown of an excavator or a freak weather event and it was stranded on the beach, the tide waits for no man.

Yh the tides also take the sand ramp they build ya muppet 😂

I wonder how many locals are thinking "when will we get our beach back?".

They have done more damage than the sea has in the last 200 years, horrendous.

Total destruction if Dawlish, replaced by a concrete jungle with no aesthetics that was there a few years ago. Total butchery. NR stink and anyone involved in agreeing to this mess.
