You need select Hex-values tab, looks like they changed in HxD 2020.

First of all thank you so much for this fix, and second i have recently started studying software development and i'm curious first of all how did you find which values are responsable for the game not being able to become full screen, what is represented by those values, how did you know what to replace them with and so on, if you can spare the time to explain some technical details to a noob, the noob will be grateful

What I am setting, is basically the aspect radio of the game. I checked the default value by looking at the loaded RAM while the game is running. After that I manipulated this value in the RAM that it maps to an other aspect radio. Then it was just a matter of finding the place(s) where those values are set in the .exe and dll files. For analyzing the the game I used CheatEngine and OllyDbg. Unfortunately the KZbin comment section is not the best place to elaborate the whole procedure. Have a look at tutorials for both programs. You might get the idea of how I did it then. I have written a program to patch this automatically. The link to the code (GitHub) is in the comment of this video.

I think Soulstorm supports 1920x1080, the only ones that don't are DoW 1 and Winter Assault. Dark Crusade and Soulstorm do it naturally, I think.
