How to download, install and modify the camera mod for Dawn of War (including Soulstorm)

1). Download CameraMod from dowstats.ru (link above)
2). Extract CameraMod contents into your soulstorm directory
3). Ensure 3D Camera is turned ON in your in-game settings
To increase the maximum viewing distance on the camera mod you must increase the value of the DistMax parameter (line 78 in the text file).
To edit the default viewing distance and angle you must edit the value of the parameters DefaultDistance (line 143 in the text file), DefaultDeclination (line 144 in the text file) and DefaultOrbit (line 145 in the text file).

I was having trouble getting this to work too, found out it was because of the mod I was running, "Tartarus and Lorn V Campaigns for Soulstorm" mod with the Optional addons (although I think that the addon does not matter). To run this mod you need to go to Game Manager and activate "Campaign Missions". So I guess you're basically running a different... expansion or game or version of the game or what ever you want to call it. This mod put a folder called "Campaignfixes" in the main Soulstorm folder. Which means that DXP2\Data isn't the right folder to put this in, it needs to go in "Campaignfixes\data". I assume other mods will have some other similar folder where you need to put these .lua folders. Hope this helps others.

Some campaign mods add a new folder in your files “campaignfixes”, try put the camera mod files in campaignfixes/data instead of dxp2/data

I Installed Unification Mod and then did all the things you did but it does not work! I am still glued to the ground cause theres fog all over the place (I also clicked "disable fog" in the modmanager ver 2.1.6 but still doesnt change a thing) and if i scroll out fog and black polygons appear!

Hi, this tutorial is for vanilla SS. For Unification Mod, try install the camera mod into the Unification file in your soulstorm directory instead - Dawn of War Soulstorm\Unification_Bugfix\Data (I believe this is the correct file path). Please let me know if this works. The full 3D camera sets a limit on how far you can zoom out (when it is turned off), you need to turn it on to use your modified limit

Hi, I've just had a look and the latest version of Unification Mod (v4.68) comes with its own camera mod which should essentially be the same as the one I use in this video. Make sure that you turn on Full 3D-Camera in your in-game settings (see here 1:40). You can find the Unification Mod camera in your Soulstorm directory under Unification_Bugfix > Data, which you should be able to edit in the same way that I have shown here 2:43. If this doesn't work then I would suggest you ask on the Mod forum: www.moddb.com/mods/unification-mod-dawn-of-war-soulstorm

It’s called camera_me , There’s also high , low and ed that you mentioned. I removed the bug mod and uninstalled and redid everything but haven’t had any luck . When you uninstall, are you deleting the files that remain in your installation directory? Need to delete this for a clean install - note that this will delete all of your colour schemes, replays, campaign & skirmish saves
