Dawn of War IV CONFIRMED? I want to believe!

As I stated in the video, the description can cover a lot of RTS games, maybe this is the first look at Total War: 40K? The author of these posts was saying Dawn of War IV, I just hope we get a good Warhammer 40,000 RTS game that gives us endless hours of amazing playability!

That's Typhon, Calderis, Aurelia, Meridian, Cyrene. All those biomes are from DoW2.

next to it also are the 3 barrels, ive spent thousands of hours making maps for dawn of war 2 and 3 and anyone who has used Worldbuilder will recognise barrels_three from industrial_objects. The tree in the pic to the right also looks like the city_tree_large_01 from the urban objects folder, some of the splats look familiar also.

If they're gonna do DoW4, I sure hope they integrate it into the greater storyline of the Indomitus Crusade. Something in the line of the Blood Ravens retaking Kaurava, while the subsector is in the middle of a Tyranid invasion. Picture it: Tarkus (or Aramus), accompanied by Diomedes (now a Primaris High Chaplain,) leads two Primaris companies back into Kaurava to reclaim it from Gorgutz, who returned to regroup the Kooruvan Orks for another WAAGH from the subsector after the events of the Acheron campaign (now with the fragmented "pointy stikk".) Suddenly, Eliphas makes his appearance at Kaurava IV to revive the Soulstorm phenomenon in the subsector for the Black Legion, all the while a massive Tyranid Hive Fleet arrives to do its worst on all factions.

A few points - Company of Heroes 3 is not doing so hot relic might be moving on to recapture the market -This is probably a stretch but the screenshots does seem to using COH3 graphics engine. - If theres a DoW and a Total war game together its seems ridiculous that both games would share the same setting , so im guessing is that DOW 4 is during Indomitus Crusade and the Total War would be set during 30k Crusade or Horus Heresy. - its could just possibly be Total War: Dawn of War?

I don't think that, now that the 40k universe is expanding, there will be a 30K game (whether Total War or another game) in the near future. GW would potentially lose new players who might feel lost. Many of the xenos races are missing from the Great Crusade, and Horus's heresy only centers on humans, but mostly space marines, so the universe is deprived of 90% of its flavor.

Wonder what the 4th faction is since usually it would be the Space Marines(The tried and true faction), the Eldar(the micro-heavy one) and the Orks(The Horde). Part of me wishes the Imperial faction would be Imperial Guard for a change. Hopefully being a Dawn of War game it would be the Blood Ravens Chapter as much as I love the Space Romans the Blood Ravens are the face of DoW. As a Raven Guard fan I hope someday there would be a sniper elite or stealth 40K game that will involve a Son of Corax.

I'm commenting on this video because i played DOW2. I have been subbed to you since 2017 because of DOW2. I have paid you money because of DOW2. I have read the Horus heresy because of DOW2. I have recruited friends to read black library novels, I have purchased nearly every other 40k game, i have watched so, much, Leutin. All of this is because DOW2 introduced me to warhammer 40,000. i loved that game so much. DOW3 was a travesty, i hope if a fourth comes, it tries to be dawn of war and not something else.

For me, the most important thing about Dawn of War was the story. I was mega invested in the Blood Ravens and their unknown origins. I want to see Gabriel Angelos, Gorgutz, Macha, and Eliphas again. I want to know if Dreadnought Davian Thule is still alive. I want the theory that the Blood Ravens are a lost Thousand Sons Successor Chapter to be hinted at more and more or maybe even confirmed. Things I hope to see in DOW4: Gabrial still in his Tartaros Terminator Armour, he looked great and helped him stands out. Him leaping is cool and leans more into the stupid power levels of the franchise. If Gimli in the Battle for Middle Earth can do it, why can't Gabrial? DOW2 Customization and expansin to the stats and squad compositions, I really loved the rpg and squad customization from 2, I want to see a bigger squad size and deeper customization.

I'm calling this for TW 40k until I hear more about something different. 12 heroes over 4 factions is exactly CA's formula for each of the Warhammer TW games so far, and I agree with further down that "High strategic viewpoint" and "Large-scale armies" is very TW-coded. Additionally, the pictures you showed at the end? They have the same "Battle Map" and "Map Border" looks that Warhammer TW maps have. Specifically, the four pictures on the sides that you showed (Not the Snow and Industrial ones in the middle) look like Grassland, Desert, Chaos Wastes, and Badlands maps from Warhammer TW with rougher borders. Although to be fair, SEGA could just be calling the "40k Total War Game" Dawn of War.

I get the love for dow1 no doubt...but dow2 is my jam. I fricken love it. The way they took the hero route like wc3 but made it so much more in depth....maybe one of the most replayed games I own across the board all systems...man even now all I'm thinking right now is running another campaign. The only thing I wish they would improve on that system is the op nature of getting terminator armors. Granted u don't have to but if u build toward them u just walk through everything. Avitus with assault cannon tarkus w storm bolter, fc with flamer and Thule as either or cause both are op. I also tended to use thaddeus with flamers and then Cyrus is a cheat code that I never used for that reason (not to mention scouts...come on haha). Jonah is a nuke and made the expansion a walk as well. As a dark angel main I did like how u could kit a full force with all DA referenced gear and/or you could kit out a force in basically full black templar/imperial fist referenced gear (which outside of straight termie were probably the best builds in og campaign). Man I love that game. Retribution is ok...it would be cool to see a dow style game for maybe a different chapter (and my vote will always be for dark angels considering a) im biased and b) they should have the widest breadth of tech/gear to pull from..well supposedly) though blood ravens being thieves is still always a good open ended point and could be interesting if the campaign included interactions with other chapters

DOW 4 makes sense for several reasons: 1. The success of Space Marine 2 has whet the appetite of all WH40k fans, and they are craving more. An RTS based on a classic with more factions and many units would be a perfect opportunity for a gaming company. 2. The MOD community has been quite active since DOW 1. Developers will be looking to capitalize on their ideas and hire some of them as well. 3. The changes to the table top are a huge opportunity for content. Primaris Space Marines and return of a few Primarchs will build huge anticipation for fans. 4. We really don't have a proper WH40K RTS since DOW 3.

Expecting boos for saying this, but I really want it to be more like Dawn of War 2, which was like an action looter RPG with some tactical thrown in. Factions and heroes: Blood Ravens (Librarian, Captain, Veteran Scout) Ynnari Aeldari/Drukhari mixed group (Farseer, Succubus, Harlequin) Adeptus Mechanicus (Tech Magos, Biologis, Imperial Knight as guest hero) Alpha Legion (for those wanting the Chaos Rising balance of corruption in campaign with individuals flipping from say librarian to sorcerer after a certain point; Harrowmaster, Tech Marine, Renegade Inquisitor with psyker powers and mercenary, Imperial and daemonic summons) Black Legion (Warlord in terminator armor, Chaos Sorcerer, Chaos Apothecary) Orkz (Mek Boy, Warboss, Kommando) Tau, Imperial Guard and Adeptus Sororitas for expansion.

If a DoW4 is indeed coming. This means DoW3 is still canon, i am theorizing it will still be Blood Ravens but in Primaris form cuz that happened in a White Dwarf Magazine. Gabriel-front-flipping-in-terminator-armor-Angelos will probably story wise will be either an easter egg or the mcguffin because technically he did get stranded at the end of DoW3.

“5 different game modes” this hints at a lot about how the game will be played imo. Dawn of War 1 was one primary game mode where you build your base, army, and simply win by destroying the other team. Them saying more than one game mode tells me it’ll be more like Dawn of War 2 where you don’t build a base freely but are more focused on the combat and taking strategic points. I could be completely wrong obviously but that’s what I get from that. I hope I’m wrong

I have so many hours in Dark Crusade and Soulstorm... If they can return to that form, though I did enjoy DoW2 too.

I'd be down for Dawn of War 2.5 with upgraded stuff, but I think the team at Relic and thus Sega no longer has the license for it? So likely it would be more in the vein of Warhammer 40K total war.

Those environments looks straight out of DoW2. Typhon primaris, Calderis, Meridian, Aurelia, Cyrene.

If it comes, i hope they go for the DOW1 aproach, with big bases and armies. I enjoyed DOW2, but it felt for me far more tactical than RTS.

@ChapterMasterValrak Game file leak for SMII seems to confirm Space Wolves Vanguard (Hound of Morkai?) champion and bolt carbine skin, also IMPERIAL FISTS plasma exterminator? Possible Tactical champion for Fists. Thought you should know.
