It's an optimal tactic. Death Korps is at it's strongest when it's turtling, but turtling only works if you have the majority of the map. What better way to do this than to build up fortifications a short jog away from the enemy base? It's what I do, at least. The kreig player's fortifications didn't last very long unfortunately, but more gun turret emplacements and krak grenade jaegers would've dealt with those pesky rapier armor destroyers.

​@@milkforthekhorneflakes3581That's one of the things that basically kept me in check. I wouldn't dare do an aggressive push unless my defenses are set, relatively speaking. But you're right, if only the Krieg player had set up just a little bit more turret emplacements (with anti-vehicular upgrades) it would've made the life of the Salamander player one hell of a slog to fight thru. Kudos to him for opening up that aggressively. I know I'm too much of a pussy to do that 😂.

@@lukmaanpratomo6866 Good news, the turrets are anti-vehicle right out of the gate, recieving anti-infantry as an upgrade later. Bunkers for infantry, turrets for vehicles.

Late game by Death Korps was beautiful. Tanks soaking damage and firing at the Razorbacks, while plasma grenadiers and Minotaur melt infantry. I get Old Joe's complaints, but he was ultimately not crushed by Krieg cheese, but by just how well Yoo executed combined arms tactics.

Fantastic comeback from DK player. For a second there it looked over. Razorback+ Rapier combo looked absolutely brutal to deal with but he pulled back in the end. The minotaur absolutely mulching all that primaris infantry was entertaining. Well done commandant. You make the Korps proud

Nice casting, but speaking about tunnelvision, Mr Landshark, you should look at the minimap a bit more often. :P As for the game, Salamanders seemed screwed since they didn't retake points and rebuild their economy, neither did they do critical amount of damage when they bounced back.

The Death Korps player choosing Death Korps because he wanted to play infantry seems a bit silly. Vanilla imperial guard does that better. *This* faction's all about it's fortifications and giant vehicles, using the territory and strategic points claimed through extremely aggressive use of said fortifications to bolster their economy and churn out said vehicles. An infernus instead of a leman russ and hellhounds instead of chimeras would have made a big difference here, I think, and some bunkers with anti-vehicle upgrades would've helped too. The rapiers were complicating that for sure, but the infantry wasn't working either. That salamander player could've crushed him if he wasn't so passive.

DK player probably could've stayed infantry if he got more lazcannon heavy weapons teams. He built one then sent it to die alone, which is a real shame because I thought we finally had a DK player that knew more than :build heavy weapons teams, give them autocannons, feed them to razorbacks.

This is a battle of two unfinished factions. The result was immediately obvious. Salamanders never have time to capture points, and they don't have enough resources. Their scouts move slower than other space marines. Krieg defeats everyone else already on T1, thanks to his heroes and bunkers. 😀

Yeah I guess there just aren't that much players in the mod so the casters have little choice of players/games to cast.

@@Eshelion Good idea, I would encourage the sage commenter to practice then! I really want to see some higher level Salamander play, or at least some specific suggestions. I think this channel's content will only get better!
