Nobody, but nobody, could ever hold a candle to this beautiful woman. What a talent she was! She is gone now and that is a pure shame. Rest In Peace, Dawn! You are the greatest! He

Heard this when I was in High School many, many years ago; could not and cannot understand why she is not a massive star...'You are the rock to my rolling stone; the only love my heart has known..."☺☺☺

I actually shed some tears when I first heard her sing this song, and I fell in love with San Antone although I have never ever been there! What a dynamic singer! Love that voice and delivery!

Incredible piece of music. Seen it on CMT many years ago- and never forgot it -or her, what a voice. Beautiful woman -no doubt.

I remember taping this song on vhs when it was played on CMT decades ago. To this day it remains one of the most pretty, poetic, almost melancholy songs I've ever heard. It will always be a mystery to me why it never went anywhere. It's such a perfect C & W song, with its separation and longing theme...or maybe that's more old country themes. Thank you for uploading this beautiful song from Ms. Sears, God rest her.

I find it strange that this song was never included on one of her records or cds, as I find it to be one of her best songs.

Wow. Don't know where I have been but I was not aware of this girl. She sounds like Brenda Lee. I just read her bio and she has passed away. How sad that is. Also sad that girls with real talent never seem to make it to the top. Thanks for posting this video.

Dawn was absolutely a great singer. Also I "discovered" her very late, only with the The Time Jumpers, when John Hughey still played on pedal steel, maybe 13-14 years ago. But since then I am a fan of her. Search for The Time Jumpers and you may find a lot of het great singing, like here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/e4SZlYKug5ige9E , or this one in het younger yeras: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fmXJeo2XjZaan8k

Interesting - you say she sounds like Brenda Lee. I read another comment that said she sounds like Connie Smith. This is the genius of really great singers. They obviously incorporate sounds of their predecessors into their own personal, unique style.

When I first saw her video on TV, I thought this would be a great big hit for her and it should have been. I've tried to buy this song for years with no success. Thank you for posting. She was a beautiful person with a wonderful voice.

A modern-day Patsy Cline. Why wasn't she famous? She has a great voice and knows how to use it.

I first heard this song YEARS ago.. For some reason it faded into history.. Sure am glad you posted it.. Now I can learn to play it.. THANK YOU VERY MUCH.. She COULD have been the next Patsy Cline or Brenda Lee.. But I have a feeling she didn't play the "game" in Nashville. She did some back up vocals for Vince Gill and was with a band called "The Time Jumpers" at the "Station Inn" in Nashville.. Vince sits in with them quite often.. One BEAUTIFUL voice and BEAUTIFUL lady...

Connie, from what I understand this was never released on record or cd. Which is a shame, because it's such a great song. Answered by The WikiAnswers® Community Answers.com® is making the world better one answer at a time. No I was recorded in 1990 and never released. it was a promo for her album but never made it off the cutting room floor.

Somebody really dropped the ball by not releasing this song as a single or on an album. Everyone that I talk to about this song loves the song and Dawn Sears. I looked for it for twenty years and finally found a copy on e-bay.
