Im not the best player so i have not tried Extremes yet, it always looked confusing to me. But i have been watching someone do this fight for the first time while also watching this guide to explain what's going on, and this is honestly the first time i understood every single mechanic and how to resolve them. I have heard people say this Extreme is pretty hard compared to others so i assume that means your guide is really good at explaining things. Thank you.

This fight is easily done blind, the only thing that's really hard about this fight is having everything happen quickly and having to look around the arena along with 35k damage autos.
@GeminiOrion94 ай бұрын
@@doragonsoruja I don't know what job you're doing but the ice phase is horrendous blind. If you don't know the safe spots and tells in advance then you won't have enough time to calculate it in the middle of the fight. While I had a good raid leader to help guide me I still had a hard time discerning the "why" in where we were supposed to move to.
@doragonsoruja4 ай бұрын
@@GeminiOrion9 Majority of the mechanics are repeats from either normal or stuff that has happened earlier in the ex fight. The only part that took more tries than others is the part where you have to dodge the circles that shoot in 8 different directions
@GeminiOrion94 ай бұрын
@@doragonsoruja Which is the ice phase. Even though some of the mechanics happened earlier in the trial combining it with the avalanches can make dodging all of it like threading a needle, *especially* if the raid party goes into damage control mode because teammates start getting wiped or similar issues. Most EX's get bad when you lose focus but I feel like specifically *that* phase punishes losing focus more than others and creates death spirals easier.
@nikkowasawas57253 ай бұрын
im also complete newbie to extreme and just cleared recently. Its only hard at the beginning as youre still adjusting to the hectic mechanics while doing your rotation(messing up is fine) but as you retry(took me 8hrs to clear) the hectic mechanic becomes clear and easy to do. As someone who only did PF(this made clearing harder than it has to be) after mech most of my challenge is having good teammates. so you either try to join static teams(i dont do this cause of my rule) or just be patient with randoms.

More than anything, I appreciate the spoilerless title and thumbnail. While I know Trail #1 was announced long before the game's release, I had managed to avoid it only to get spoiled by another recommended video before making it there in the MSQ; when I wasn't even looking for content related to it. Thanks for the consideration to the community who are there for the story but are fans of your guides enough to have them recommended. ❤

1:26 ive done a few practices rounds and ive noticed something from the last couple ive done. Dunno if anyone else commented but you don't need to hug the wall. You can go wait either the A or B markers after the second line to wait. it makes dodging and moving into the top of the marker much easier

Here's a tip if you have a good headset: For the volcanoes, you can actually hear which direction is going to erupt based off the direction the sound is coming from in your headset. Obviously, this might also be based off of my sound settings in game. But this works for me.

A little note about killing the first feather, by the time the final feather drops, everyone will be in that back corner, killing the second feather gives more uptime for melee, where the first feather will kill the melee or tanks who try to attack it when the final one lands.

I did some blind with my static today and I was getting jebaited by the tank tower because 90% of our pulls, the third hit of the tower would not refresh the DoT on me (I didn't realize this til later when I looked at a clip). 10% of our pulls the DoT would refresh, I assume like it's supposed to, and kill me after my Living Dead fell off. I was only looking at the ones I'd die on at first and would see the last tick tick just after LD falls off, but most other pulls I wouldn't die so I didn't bother looked closely at those. It wasn't til it started happening again that I checked out a pull I didn't die on and noticed the DoT not refreshing on the 3rd hit.
