So pretty. It is so cool to see the same markers that are generally used in bold splashes to make backgrounds used to create soft florals. It is all in the hands of the artist. Inspiring.

Adding that tiny bit of dark behind the flowers to describe the edges is such a wonderful affect. I've seen similar done many times before with a brush and tried it but never seemed to "get it" and watching you with a marker - boy it makes a lot of difference and so much sense. Thanks so much for this tip and beautiful card.

Fantastic demonstration using your amazing floral stamps in a whole new way. As an awful "watercolourer", this is a life saver for those of us afraid to paint. Although long, you expertly described so many successful techniques that it became an art class in itself. Your hard work and skill is so appreciated....

Dawn, you did a marvelous job with this card and I liked your comment, and I agree with you. I love making cards no matter how long it takes because I make them for friends and family, so to me it's worth making them for the people I love. I love to hear from them how much they love the card. I love watching your tutorials because I'm learning to watercolor and I love your paintings and stamping watercolors techniques. Thanks for your videos. :-)

No indeed. It isn't cheap, fast or easy! Stunning card like always!!
@covid-19inthistogether969 жыл бұрын
Emily Cupely You can always start out small, a few markers ($10), with an affordable small stamp set ($5 at PTI), and some water color paper at Michael's using a half off coupon, so it can be affordable for everyone. Also, time can go by so fast when you are having fun. And I'd have to say, she breaks it down for you so well, it looks a whole lot easier than water coloring without stamps and water color markers!
@emilycupely32019 жыл бұрын
Craftin Kate I know it can be as cheap as you want. Buy two ink pads and the cheapest stamp set at joann.com with a 40% or 50% off and free shipping (because I don't have a Michael's at my country) and you are ready to make several cards. That is how I started and it was really fun for a while. But I'm talking about those who want to go all the way with card making, including myself because, of course, I am talking about my own experience since the stamps I like the most are not the cheapest ones. Also, when I say that it is time consuming I do not say it in a bad way. All I am saying is that it is time consuming because for me it is. Of course, even when it takes me a couple of hours to make a card, I enjoy every single second of it. Again, it depends on the person. You can make a card as fast and simple as you want but I am talking about my own experience. Finally, it probably is easier to watercolor with stamps than without them but I didn't say the opposite, all I say is that it is not as easy as it looks because I am not talking about how it looks, I am talking about how it resulted to me. Maybe you are an innate talent but for people like me some water coloring techniques that I have tried have resulted kinda hard, maybe not as hard as water coloring without stamps but still hard. When I agreed with her is because those are things that I have thought much before I heard them from her. Sorry if my comment offended you in any way, it wasn't my intention. It was just my opinion based on my experience.

PeggiesCraftCafe I don't know where the square ones come from but "Apple Pie Memories" makes something very similar in round shapes with the grid lines and the ergonomic scallop edges to make it easier to grip them in your hand while stamping.
