Few years ago, in the Musjid of Tshikapa, Congo I saw a boy of about 13 years of age teaching other young boys "alif ba ta Tha" from a black board. A little Christian boy of about 12 years old was watching him conducting the class from the door entrance. I approached him and asked him if he wanted to learn and become a Muslim as well . He said "yes". So I called the young teacher to make him embrace Islam. He executed my request immediately. The new Muslim boy sat down with the other boys and started to learn the Arabic alphabets. Each boy by turn afterwards went to the board and recited all the alphabets. In the end it was the turn of the new Muslim. He went to the board and recited the all the alphabets just like the other boys. Islam is a religion which is taught on the job. We learn as we go along. Allah Ta'ala will guide us through. *Kaam Kaam sikaaenge* In Jamaat i learnt that the best way to learn is to teach what you don't know. If you do not know one surah teach it to someone.

As far as "Tablighi Jamaat" is concerned, I have never seen any kind of suspicious or objectionable nature among them. As for the thing of Taliban type is concerned or the term "Taliban sympathizers" what shiekh implies by this is people that may try to recruit others for cause like that of Taliban or support them in some way. My own observation and experience in 2 countries is that this is very difficult. The way the work is organized and operated, its hard for such influence to get in.

When you begin to relate all your decisions and all your plans that you want to make and all the wealth you want to acquire and all the ways you want to spend that wealth, and all the things you are doing let alone what you want to do before your Sheykh in Sufism to make sure that everything is in line with consulting your Shaykh in Tarbiyat and Shariah Adab and Itaa3at and until you're trained and are able to distinguish bad from good from what comes about through proper inspiration, consulation, and direction not spurred on by some imagination or whim or carnal desire no matter how noble the nafs or sheytan make it appear to be, then only come and speak ill or comment on the Elders or on the Work of Dawah and Tabligh, re-established by one/some of the greatest benefactors to mankind and creation and I am not exaggerating here, when I say this, Maulana Muhammad Ilyas and Maulana Muhammad Yusuf and Maulana Hazrat Ji In3aamul Hasan Saaheb (there are many others, but these 3 were the pioneers and are the Leaders of the Pious-folk) among whom is My Sheykh may Allah keep him safe and , who has sanad to Mualana In3aamul Hasan and bay3at. All of whom have sanad and bey3at of the Last Guardian may Allah sanctify his spirit.

Jawaid Siddiquee i used to be salafi minded , we used to study a book by sheikh albani called the prophets prayer described. People had faith in that book and that scholar, they had embarked on a path and trusted their sources. I didnt have the same faith, i needed to double check everything and unfortunately many cracks appeared in peoples interepretations. To sum up, you can only claim to follow quran and sunnah when you ONLY read from quran and hadith , and do not go to any other book until you have mastered these. Everything else is just having faith in other peoples interpretations of what they believe the quran and sunnah entail.

Have been infiltrated by the Taliban type? With all due respect I have not found this to be the case at all. The effort of tabligh is largely untainted by politically motivated types though there might be some exceptions - but that's what it's like in this effort - you meet people of all sorts with differing views. That's why politics is never brought into the equation within this work because it would simply divide people.

Masha'allah. Agree with him but nevertheless it must be pointed out that Talibaan did not infiltrate Tabligh. they together with Tabligh Jamaat are under the "umbrella" of Deoband. I had done a research on Taalibaan prior to 9/11, i.e from 1996-2000. Alhamdulillah they established khilafat that was simply ignored by the rest of the muslim world(scholars, leaders etc). Yet we hear now and again efforts to revive khilaafat by different groups.

In the 80's and 90's there was only one Hadhrat Ji and that was Mawlana Inam al Hassan Kandhalwi (rahimahullah) the third ameer of Tabligh Jamaah after Mawlana Yusuf Kandhalwi (rahimahullah)

The underpinnings of the Jamaat are based on principles of the Chisti-Sabiri-Imdadi line of the Chisti Tariqah .. Shaykh Mohamed Ilyas to his depth in understanding of matters related to Shariah and Tariqah was able to simplify the teachings of the Tariqah to make it accessible to the masses . Infact the going out in 40 days was seen as a Moving khanqah and a Moving madrassah .. and he stressed upon heavily to his followers to engage and connect with Ulama and Ahlullah . Unfortunately there has been a distancing from the aims and objectives of the original founder , this happens in every movement/effort

@Ibn Muhammad they who are not practicing Sufism are not treating the incumbent issues that they were brought forth in the jamaats to address. In the 3rd sifat Knowledge with Thikr. They are encouraged to refer to the Ulema on the masail of outer and ahlullaah for the inner living lifestyle in accordance with purity and perfection aiming for excellence to treat these fard masail that pertains to the inner self.

Tabligh is against the sufi (pir) worshipping which is done extensively in parts of subcontinent. In fact Sufism is the biggest problem of sub-continent, people are worshipping their sufi leaders and dancing and singing together, which are completely against islamic principles
