This is what I am really loving about the independent rappers. They have something worth saying, and they are doing it well. Mainstream is pretty much off my playlist these days.
@WaterKingCrocodoan2 жыл бұрын
Everyone’s got something to say and it could either be meaningless or worthful. But you’re right, these independent rappers are tough to the bones and really smart in knowing they can’t sell themselves just for the fame and mainstream. And the deep and fire songs just speak for themselves.

Or very close to being a true believer. It starts with questions, doubts... And if you are sincere, God calls you. I'll pray for him and for you. Repent my friend, life is so short and eternity is forever.
@scottdebruyn70382 жыл бұрын
@@sabcam2000 Sincere... I am sincere. I sincerely believe that if a god exists or existed, that an afterlife is a real thing, that prayer could affect reality or that repentance in your way of saying it means something... there would be more evidence for a thinking mind than "You just have to be sincere." Because, my friend, that's all you have. Except maybe "The Bible is true because it says it is true."... Except where it isn't. Then you'd have me squint my eyes and interpret the inerrant word of your deity the way that you do. Pray all you like and when 'eternity' begins for both of us, neither will be able to say, 'I told you so!' and nor will you be disappointed (because of the whole feeling, hearing, thinking, seeing, knowing nothing thing), but hey 'Knock yourself out, man!'.

Religion is necessary, if it's not from God then it's from people like communism, liberalism (that justified colonialism and today justifies imperialism ), individualism, utilitarianism, feminism etc.. and all of them cause much of world's suffering. It's a human condition, not a religious's characteristic. People will use anything to justify their worldly ambitions that includes all kinds of violent means. And for the rest of the questions, they have all be answered and are pretty intuitive and logical answers.. but don't think Dax took the time to think about it or research. So I see this song as expressing typical superficial, lazy approach to life. Let the media dictate the narrative and you just enjoy the moment and pretend that you already did your part.

Production value on its own was good...otherwise, pretty cliche lyrically. It didn't sound like anything more than the most common arguments/questions against there being a god. Put it to music and call it a song, I guess, if it makes you money.
