Absolutely sensational tutorial on filter evaluation context. I am at earlier stage of my power bi journey and I am glad to have found the stuning tutorials on the daunting DAX and evaluation context by Michell Petersen. Now, on creating Total US Sales measure, mint 24:17, using calculate(), Mr Business Enginner, " is suggesting using the Sum×() instead, in creating table" . Where does this fit in? Could you kindly write the equivalent expression showing how it works and produce the same results?

I have a question on the part where you add the relative date filter (at the timestamp 1:11:08 in the video). It's Nov 22nd 2024 when I try this and I obviously can't get the same result as you get in the video. Is there a way I can get the same visual result as you're getting in the video OR do I just have to trust that it works? Well why did I had to ask before I tried the advanced filtering adding the dates that were the result of your relative filter in the video??? That did the trick. I choose to not delete the question as someone else might get the same problem as I had and he /she can get the workaround from the comments 😀

Why do we need to use Dax instead, we can do some steps in the power query steps very easily?! I can't understand the utility of Dax. Could you please explain it to me
