I can’t imagine how difficult it is for recovering opioid addicts needing to have surgery and severe pain and trying to cope with pain without medication. Or taking the medication and relapsing! 🙏🏻

Yeah! My thought too. I thought Dax did the right, honest and helpful thing by sharing his relapse. Can you imagine the blowback if he kept presenting himself as consistently sober and it came out that he had a relapse didn’t tell his followers? In being open he not only helps people but maintains his integrity.

I've been going to SMART meetings to manage my sobriety. One of the analogies I find helpful is, if you've been riding a bike and you fall off, you don't have to throw the bike away and go buy a new one and start from day one relearning how to ride it. You pick it up and get back on.
