Honestly, it should not matter whatsoever if a diss track is catchy, that's not the point, it's supposed to land actual punches - be personal and specific. That's not at all what this was. That's only if you don't look at this as a diss track. There were no real punches whatsoever. He called the beats trash when he had his pick, admitted that he didn't even try, then just proceeded to use his mouth to gratify himself, repeatedly just talking about how good he is and how he has money and viewers. He tried to punch at Crypt and Scru, saying they're in the same place, but that's just objectively not true. I mean, Scru's doing a feature with n9na and both continue to drop fire on a regular basis and grow (you can look up the metrics yourself). This was supposed to be a diss track, but the content was generic. Only a few of the bars were targeted, and even then, barely. The few that were, were mostly weak even if they weren't lies, which they pretty much all were. Diss tracks are supposed to be specific, personal, cut deep, and most of all - be true. He delivered none of that. Again, if you don't look at this as a diss track, it's good. He's got solid flows, some nice rhyme schemes, and a banger of a beat. As a diss track though, this is an absolute piece of trash. -An Actual Hip Hop Fan.

Even independent artist hire managers. Independent host means they don't have a label that backs them or contracts that obligate them. They still hire staff. Manager, booking agents, publicity people, etc.

Almost every artist has a manager! Independent is when you not sign at a label. As you become a bigger artist you need a manager since you don't have time for making music and reply to all those things a manager does.. . But you don't necessarily need a label or publisher to give your music a "reach" so he means this with independent. An manager works in employement for the artist the artist doesn't work for the manager! While when you sing at a label the artist has a contract with the label and becomes the employee! So yes your still indipend if you have a Manger since you hire him and he works for you and not the other way around.
