Analogy that I remember from Bible study is, just as a loving parent submits their child to a life saving surgery, as painful as it may be for the parents, similarly "Our Loving Father," let's us suffer consequences of our actions, to avoid greater dificulties or even death in the future. "Don't play with fire, you're gonna get burned!" We disobey, get burned, but didn't die. Learned painful lesson, & Our Heavenly Father says, "I told you so!" Our imperfect human nature, even as adults. And yet some of us NEVER LEARN!

“the consequences of your own actions” i just got fired from my job because i was showing no progress this accounting and i’ve been going through a series of mixed emotions, both positive and negative. i didn’t go to school for it, i don’t have any experience either and it’s a small business. to make matters worse my aunt who put me in this position is angry with me, and i’m terrified to the point that i’m avoiding her. i do blame myself for not trying harder. however, when i went to school for accounting (i didn’t finish) i was extremely depressed (with dangerous thoughts) a few years ago, and when i started working at that company that same depression returned… currently unemployed and my heart desperately wants to pursue photography along with become a missionary, but i’m stuck with comments like “you need to have a secure job to live” “don’t ruin your life” “photography isn’t a job it’s a hobby” “be realistic” please give me some Biblical wisdom or advice. i’m so lost right now

Whenever I'm at a crossroads in life. I pray for His guidance and clarity. He will make it known to you. He's very persistent, but we get so easily distracted that we sometimes ignore what He's trying to tell us. At least I do. I also pray to have ears to hear and that he will cancel out all the distractions that are keeping me from hearing His voice.

This was a hard reading today, and I cried most of it. I am new to reading the Bible. It's just hard to read the hard things. I'm trying to feed my spirit, and everywhere I turn, I hear the world is ending, Gods going to punish the US and all the in-between. It is all scary, and I can't shake it.

🥺🙏 My heart is right there with you. It is very heartbreaking to hear these things, and yet at the same time, we are not surprised when we see these things, because of what we just read. Even in my own life, I can see the "curses" I brought to myself, but my heart and life coming back from the wasteland after I let Him in. Remembering that in Jesus we have the peace that passes all understanding (Philippians 4:7), as these things come to pass. we must be praying for wisdom and discernment in these times. We must continue to keep our hearts and minds on Jesus and helping lead as many others to the hope we have.
