Day 1- Almeria Mozarabe Camino | Astounding Alcazaba, Almeria, & Hiking in the Land of Dothraki

First stage on the Almeria Mozarabe Camino de Santiago. Amazing welcome by Jorge at ‘Finca el Molino’. Despite jet-lag the huge Alcazaba complex. Kitties, Game of Throne Dorne, and some dancing. Visit the unique Fortress-Cathedral in Almeria. Urban hike out of the city towards a river valley. Creepy doll in a dry riverbed. Walking in an area famed for filming Western films and the land of the Dothraki in Game of Thrones. Got stuck in brambles and had to turn around. Quaint albergue in Rioja and took sleepy time eat dinner.

Hi! I live by that dry riverbed ha, ha. It's nice and funny seeing foreigners along those countryside paths. - The bull over the mountain was an ad for Osborne wine. As it became iconic, the Government painted them black and kept them as a kind of national symbol. - The birds you saw were jackdaws. This area is full of birds which come in summer scaping from colder northern Europe's winters. I hope you enjoy the path.

Ok you caught my interest once again - this camino stretches for 1500km OMG and what a great start to day 1 but how can one not play with the cats. I think this camino will be added to my list will watch on with interest. P.s I think one of your up coming bridge dances should involve a local or two 😬. Awwww that look so tasty!!!! I’ll stick to oranges in groves from now on. I don’t pick them off the farmer’s trees - but instead happily grab any freshly fallen ones on the road. :)
