Today marks the official start of our Black Peak Expedition 2024!
We kicked off Day 1 by departing from Dehradun. The Discovery Hike team picked us up from Prince Chowk for the approximately 200-kilometer journey to Sankri. Along the way, we visited Lakka Mundana, a place rich in legend. It's said that when the Panch Pandavas couldn't find water, Arjun used his bow to strike a rock and bring forth water.
We enjoyed our breakfast and lunch with stunning riverside views, driving through scenic pine trees and narrow roads. By evening, we reached Sankri, where we explored the local market to rent essential equipment.
In the evening, the Discovery Hike team briefed us on the upcoming 15-day journey, followed by a hearty dinner. The adventure has just begun!
