I have lost almost 50 lbs doing these exercises 5 days a week for a year. I feel so much better and have continued doing them 3 times a week even now. I have returned to life through contrology! Thanks, Sean, for posting and sharing.

Loved it! As a professional dancer, I used to do these years ago at the Pilates studio in Manhattan. There was even a little print out with Joseph Pilates himself doing these mat sequences. Thanks for continuing a valuable tradition.

Holy Moly! Just getting back to Pilates after a life -changing interruption. To think this was "easy" for me just a few years ago. However, I know following Coach Vigue, a.k.a. Mr. Fitness, I will be back in shape in no time! Discipline and determination! Thank you Coach Vigue!

Thanks so much. It is wonderful to do the original Pilates exercises. The reverse plank leg lift was the most difficult for sure.

Once a great training, and a great video. It teaches the basic of pilates for people like me who haven't been educated to it. I played basketball professionally so more than a decade, and I find your channel extremely useful, and very needed for people like us. My goal is to learn as much as I can, and eventually give back all I have learned, just like you do. Thank you

I was not expecting to do it all ! This was a big challenge for me . But because I’m so used to all your exercises :) this was the answer ! Thank you coach once again for all the efforts that you are putting to make this workout so enjoyable👍 Nina.

Finally got to do this wirkout this morning. It was not super intense with the low reps but I was sweating by the end. Some of the excercises proved to be quite difficult. I certainly have to work on my rolling! Lots of fun as always. Thanks.

Great session and authentic sequencing, Sean. I used to do Pilates at the iconic Pilates studio on W. 57th St. in Manhattan, across from Carnegie Hall in the 1970s. His family ran the studio. I remember just about all of these Pilates exercises from back then!

Always fun to try new things having done a lot of your work outs on here most of these felt familiar , but it was good to do them all together , not sure what I found hardest I'd probably say the one that had the side plank in it as I've done something to my hip and it wasn't comfortable
@reegm795 жыл бұрын
Awesome!!!! The crab was the most difficult but by then i was tired of the back rolls :-)

It is very difficult to find a free video of anyone correctly demonstrating all of Joseph Pilates' original exercises. Thank you so much for posting! Day 1 made me sweat!
@shrekm.11154 жыл бұрын
Wow Coach! This was a tough one and it was hard to keep up with your pace.... The hardest was the crab as I am not able to do it on one side : right leg over left and my right knee doesn't touch the floor, but with left leg over right both knees touch the floor, I can do the movement (head tap) with ease 🤔

Looking forward to the book! Question: why is pulsing the arms better than a static hold?
@SeanVigueFitness5 жыл бұрын
Both are good but the pulsing makes your core work much harder to stabilize against the movement. Sean

Good stuff! The Crab, seal, and control balancing were the most challenging. It hurts to roll on my ankles in the crab. I feel very good though
