That is normal, demo doesn't touch wires, they leave the wires for electricians to reroute or remove on another day. After electricians finish, the wall will get patched back up by drywall guys, which do all the drywall repairs and any other alterations that you may need at the same time. That all looks fine.

Was going to reply the same. Removing the front office isn't building to a spec, it's removing to a spec. They could terminate all the lines, patch all the drywall, and do all of buttoning up, but there's a 99% chance that Louis wouldn't want to lose those outlets, or have no control over his lights, or a myriad of other things that would have to be guessed. They got the area ready for Louis to make it his own without doing things twice.

Nice office and a very decadent move. Over several years I've visited many start up businesses and their decline normally starts as soon as the owner segregates themselves from their employee's. Segregation sends the message to employees "I'm better than you" and deserve to reward myself more highly than you. An office for customer, employee meetings, projects or personal area yes, personal big office area really sends the wrong message to those who generated the wealth to aquire the new store in the first place. Just a thought Its really good to see a genuine, rightful Guy create a business who treats his employees as a community. I wish you every success 👍👍👍👍👍

The conduit coming out of the ceiling reminds my of a hackerspace I used to frequent a few years ago. When moving in, a wall was removed and then there were a bunch of light switches hanging down from the ceiling. Nobody had a good idea what to do with them, until one guy (an actual electrician) programmed a microcontroller that could control the lights. He removed all the wiring to the old-school manual switches and the huge lounge is controlled via small buttons on his microcontroller or via a local website. He even used the same technology, to control the power of the entire space, so when the last person leaves and shuts the door, everything will be unpowered. That is, everything except for the kitchen, because the dishwasher gets additional 90 minutes to finish it's job.
@simonwaugh55195 жыл бұрын
Though simple, that is a clean demo. Well swept/vacuumed, remaining debris neatly organized. That is a good sign. Once the major work starts, depending on the scope and particulars of the design, you may see a period of time where 'nothing' seems getting accomplished except more 'mess'. Please be aware that good contractors will take the time needed to ensure that the 'skeleton' of the renovation is solid and 'true (flat, plumb, level, square, properly anchored and code-compliant---as with computers, there are many dependencies that have to accounted-for. As a former NJ/NY high-end commercial/residential custom cabinet maker and architectural woodworker myself, I can tell you that at around the 75%-completed mark of a given job, many clients would begin to question the completion date we'd promised, based on their own expectations of progress. I'd suggest once you the 'real' work begins, try and find the time to have a chat with the contractor(s) to better understand the process and their approach---I've watched enough of your videos to know you can spot bullshit. My best wishes to you, and your ethical business.
@allanbarr51865 жыл бұрын
You can move the ac to the side wall and won't even need to recharge it. Paul can do it. The hoses for that machine has flexible hoses. You just need to cut the opening for the lines through the wall open to pull the lines through the bottom of the remaining wall and take the mounting plate and mount it on the wall. You then have to take the plastic cover over the lines and place the lines in moving the slack to the condenser which is outside. Then you coil the extra lines behind the condenser. You can do it with a sawzall and a drill and impact drill. Check it out.
@t0cableguy5 жыл бұрын
figured this out from an AC friend. you literally close the output valve on the condenser/compressor line and let it suck down its own refrigerant, then you close the input line once it has pulled the refrigerant into the compressor. Once that is done the lines can be opened and you haven't lost the charge, but you will need to purge with nitrogen or vaccum the system down (better to vaccum) then reconnect the lines.
@truthsmiles5 жыл бұрын
The copper lines are flexible, so if you did it carefully, yeah you could move it without disconnecting anything. Not sure I'd pull the line set out to the condenser though.. maybe just hide it in the ceiling or simply place it so there's no 'leftovers'?
@allanbarr51865 жыл бұрын
@@truthsmiles these are set up to do that. If you look up how they are installed they uncurl them and put the extra lines behind the condenser. This until comes precharged.
@truthsmiles5 жыл бұрын
@@allanbarr5186 Yes I'm familiar with minisplits. I was just saying I'm not sure I'd pull the extra lines (if any) all the way back outside to the condenser, but rather leave them inside with the evaporator.
@allanbarr51865 жыл бұрын
@@truthsmiles i agree but it looks like the lines might be to long, but they could move the lines up higher on the wall and that could take up the space. The lines on the wall look like they are about 2/3 to 3/4 high on the wall so they could move the lines up a little higher and could make up the extra length in the turn up on the evaporator side and back down on the exit through the wall on the condenser side. But he could move it for free with a two or three people and a hour of time, and a few power tools.

Please show the fire sprinkler riser the red pipe so I cal look at it in detail. There in no control valve by it looks like you have the drain line the smaller red pipe. I want to look at the top of the riser I can’t see what’s there. I just want to see if the unit is zoned off. It would have a water flow switch. I assume that there is a basement you may not have access to it but I assume that the riser the red pipe comes up from there. The branch lines come off that line and are painted white. It looks like there are pendent sprinkles installed. Make sure that the sprinkler don’t get painted the small brass things every 10 to 12 ft apart. If you plan on dropping a ceiling you will need to add sprinkler below the dropped ceiling leaving the sprinklers in the space between existing ceiling and dropped ceiling. One think you can consider is painting the ceiling flat black including the pipe that way your customers eye will not go there because their eye is drawn to what going on in the work area. Just be aware of what you do to the ceiling adding sprinkler can be expensive.
