Day 1 of our Anniversary trip to Chicago🚇

Welcome back my little adventures! Today we are going on a new adventure to Chicago IL for mine and my husbands 16th wedding anniversary. Sanford and I have been doing anniversary trips for the last 8 years. We usually do a road trip because we love hitting the open road and spending time belting out songs in the car with each other. This year we decided to go to Chicago. I was super excited for this because we had really no plan so we decided to just wing it from start to finish. There were only two things we planned and the rest we made up as we went along. Today is our travel day and I’m going to take you around the various rest areas and stops on our way to our destination. We stayed outside the city because the cost is usually always cheaper. We stayed at a Hampton Inn one of our favorite places to stay because we always know what to expect. Then we had some dinner at a local Mexican restaurant that was in the plaza we were staying. It was a fun first day but exhausting. But come along and join us on our Chicago adventure!
