You not need to identify with any religion If you want to get enlightenment you have to do heartbreaking penance Whether you are Hindu , Buddhist,or Christian .becoz source of creation don't know you are Christian, Buddhist or hindu

Enlightenment just means the end of suffering. It’s the only definition given, which is actually an explanation of what it’s not. It’s not suffering, by no means do you need to convert for this. Just to see your true nature

I enjoy this mans wisdom! I would love to go meet him and the rest of the monks I’d love to spend a whole day with them! Meet more of these monks! I’d like to share a experience I had ......I met a monk in my town at a shopping center he and few other monks were from Tibet and studied with the Dalai Lama ! they were selling some Tibetan foods etc! He said I’m version of Buddha in female form and he said Buddha is greatly blessing me! I felt very honored and I talked to him for hours and hours ! I’ll never forget that monk he was so kind funny and just a joy to talk to! he bowed to me as sign of respect I will never forget that experience! I got a hug too! now I am studying Buddhism more ! It’s wonderful Buddhism ☸️ is a wonderful relaxing religion full of wisdom! if you ever get to meet one of these monks it is a pleasure!

No matter which religious followers we are. No matter which Ethnics we come from. No matter which nationalities we belong. But only the matter makes us divide created by our own hearts which we always have the way to be united in a deep friendship to build a trusted society for our tomorrow. We learn from great leaders to know the true meaning of our life is to be a good people to have a better life. I know I can say HH Dalai Lama is truly honorable and great example for our new generations !

I think that His Holiness addresses a concern that has cost the lives of too many humans in History. Religion should never be an excuse to wreak havoc, pillage and/or murder. Because I am more familiar with the Judea-Christian religions I will speak for their sake, to do anything else would be arrogant. We are taught not to judge one another by our savior Jesus Christ, I am not equipped to judge another man for numerous reasons: I have not lived their life, I do not carry their troubles, I carry my own troubles that blur my vision and I am not perfect. There is not a single person out there that can claim otherwise. This is why we are taught to leave that judgement to our higher power, for none other than the One True God has the authority or the right to make that judgement. Everything else is simply a person deceiving themselves into believing they have the right or the capacity to judge others.

Totally Bhudhism is all about how to train ur mind to get away from suffering and delusions. Thank u and hope u guys can learn some if u r interest in Bhudhism.

I realize most people won't have the attention span to read this but I just feel like putting it out there. This, plus some herb, reallly gets me thinking. We need to come to grips with the fact that everything that we perceive is quite literally inside of our minds. What you experience as reality is nothing more than the sum of everything you perceive through your senses, information which is processed in the brain. Reality could look completely different or it could simply not exist "out there". *Solipsism* suggests that we can never prove that reality exists independently of ourselves. It is impossible, *because the only tools we can use to figure that out are our senses and the brain, things that are made out of the reality we are trying to prove or disprove. It would be like trying to bite your own teeth*. When you dream, you do not question the dream, you simply accept that reality and live out the experience. It is only when you wake up that you realize it wasn't "real". But what is real? This moment is inside your head as much as the dream you had last night. That doesn't mean that it is not real. It doesn't mean that it does not matter. It is still a very real experience. Once you come to this conclusion you realize that the nature of reality is purely mental. Not materialistic and mechanical as we previously thought. If you think about it, matter isn't what we think it is. It is not physical. Think about the way physics breaks it down. Eventually you come to the physical world's "building blocks", very small particles that cannot be broken down anymore. Physics even comes to the conclusion that these very small particles are in turn made out of *point particles, which are particles that have no spatial extension, they are zero-dimensional, take up zero space*. Particles do not simply break down infinitely. There isn't an infinite amount of infinitely small particles. In other words, matter is made out of quite literally nothing. Logically we have to get to this nothingness eventually. Pure nothingness. You can say matter is made out of energy but this energy in turn must come from somewhere else. The Big Bang is no answer as we could ask the same question about it. Where did it come from? People don't even understand what energy really is. When most people think about energy they think about a substance, something tangible like fire. That is not it. Scientifically, *energy is described simply as potential*. The potential of a given system to do do work. *Not a substance*. That eliminates energy as an answer for the base of "physical" reality. Because the physical world is ultimately made of nothing, the only logical conclusion is that it is in fact mental, because the only way you and I experience it is mentally, and so do any other conscious beings that may exist. Ultimately, it is likely that the universe could be just a great thought, as many wise men have said. Following this logic, we can then come to the conclusion that you are the creator as much as the universe is your maker. Maybe the universe simply could not exist without your awareness of it. This would suggest that *the world isn't just a machine that exists out there, but it is a mental landscape. We think we cannot see directly see inside our minds, but the world we experience every day is the mind. All aspects of it, such as space, matter and time, are aspects of your own mind*. *This doesn't have to mean that other people don't really exist. Maybe other individuals are simply different points of view. Different perspectives on the world. The universe looking at itself from every possible point of perspective, having every possible experience of itself. That would even include animals and any other life form that has developed some level of perception*. Obviously this only leads to more questions, like everything else. Does the world make you, or do you make it? If it makes you what makes it? I believe it is both. The universe depends on you as much as you depend on it. *The largest galaxies could not exist without you, and you would not exist without them*. You are dependent on the elements created in massive stars, yet to you, these stars would not exist, if you didn't exist. Don't think about this reality as "really out there", remember that we simply cannot prove that the things that we perceive are independent of ourselves. Like I said before, that would be like *tyring to bite your own teeth, or touching the fingertip of your finger with that same finger*. Makes no sense. Remember that *if matter is fundamentally empty, then it cannot be physical*. Ultimately everything is one. Clearly this is all hypothetical and unproved by science, but like I said, it simply cannot be proved by science. Never will be. But possible nonetheless. I realize most people don't have the attention span to go read all that, but I fell like putting my thougts out there. Too blazed.

The Dalia Lama is the best person who ever lived. You criticize him, but in Buddhism they respect everybody, how many times did the Dalia Lama say bad things about Christianity? Perfect example that Buddhist people grow up kind, thoughtful and respectful. Reverend Eslam you on the other hand never take to account other people's feelings, and ignore the believes they live their lives based on!

He's a wonderful person, but I'm sure not even Tenzin Gyatso himself would think himself the best person who ever lived, remaining humble is important. He's certainly better than the 6th Dalai Lama was anyway! :-) There have been many wonderful Tibetans since the great Songsten Gampo!! A friend of mine who has written books on Tibetan and central Asian history said when he met Tenzin there was a wonderful aura surrounding him, a genuine feeling of peace hard to describe. No doubt in my mind that enlightenment is very real. Abandonment of ego and focusing on others with compassion is the key but not always easy to achieve! Some of the happiest people are those who may not be wealthy but spend their time helping others.

I have heard some people complain that he never says anything unique or magnificently clever. The truth about humans isn't complicated, it is self evident and can only be spread with simple expression and repetition. This same attitude is evident when people who wish to become more healthy go through the pains of searching for the 'right diet', when everyone knows what is healthy food and what is not. It is simple, it is common sense and knowledge
@CatsZeroWing
@CatsZeroWing 8 жыл бұрын
I think this isn't a great analogy because just giving someone a list of healthy food will not help him. The difficulty lies in finding food that works for you, individually. We're too attached to specific tastes to just "let go" and eat whatever healthy food someone else cooks for us and offers to us. In other words, I think you should acknowledge that it is a pain for many people to figure out a good diet. Your comment makes it sound too easy. But you're right in a broader sense: To become healthy, you have to search in the right place. Listen to common knowledge and combine it with your intuition. Don' t try crazy new diets, because they lead nowhere.

CatsZeroWing It might not be easy, but it is simple.
@CatsZeroWing
@CatsZeroWing 8 жыл бұрын
Chris Tully In my opinion, it's neither easy nor simple. If you have a wife or someone else who cooks for you, then it may be simple, because all you have to do is force yourself to eat the healthy food that sits on the table. However, getting the skill to be a good cook in the first place isn't simple, it takes too much time to learn to be called "simple". Generally, the healthier the food, the more difficult to cook it in a tasty way. It's easy to prepare hamburgers, but that wouldn't be healthy. You are right that eating healthily is simple if we accept one premise: That you don't care about the taste at all and just force yourself to eat healthy food, by sheer will. But how many people are willing to do that? Anyway, I can only speak for myself when I say I disagree with your assessment. I agree with what you're saying about the Dalai Lama, though.
@DualFrodo
@DualFrodo 8 жыл бұрын
CatsZeroWing Well, eating porridge regularly is easy, Gyalwar himself does it on a side note. It really isn't difficult to cook it in a pot in the morning, and it's immensely healthy for your heart. Other basic natural foods like fruits and vegetables aren't complicated in any way to get into the habit of eating, they're straightforward, but for most people who are used to an unhealthy diet which is in a sense, more tasty, it's difficult to make the transition. Cooking healthy dinners may be more complicated, but that's one aspect of a person's daily diet.
@CatsZeroWing
@CatsZeroWing 8 жыл бұрын
Chris Tully I am fine with vegetables when they're prepared well; I tried to copy my mother's recipes, but find them quite difficult to pull off. Basically, what's much easier to prepare is food with carbohydrates: porridge like you say, rice, potatoes etc., but I am already overweight and have to severely limit my carbohydrates to be able to lose weight. A problem is that I "unwillingly" consume a lot of extra carbohydrates through sugar, as I'm somewhat addicted to consuming industrial sugar every day. Have partly managed to exchange the sugar for real fruits. My point in that line of thought is, that for me, figuring out my diet is complicated, because I am not one of those people who radically change their diet through willpower, so I have to go the way of figuring out plentiful details and techniques instead and to slowly improve my diet over time. But, I am not sure whether I represent a typical case in modern society, or whether for most people, changing their diet can be called simple (while challenging, though). To figure out what's the most common case, one would have to look into a statistical study of some sort, I suppose.
