I hadn't competed in anything for likely 10 years let alone a motocross race. Yet after being talked into it by Brian Storrie I decided to give it a go and I am glad that I did. This was the last race of the season for the men and women of the Texas Cross Country Racing Association and for that reason I made sure that I started last off the line. I didn't want to take out, hold up or get between two riders battling each other for points if I could avoid it. The race was approximately 90 minutes long. I had no issues with endurance but the 33.5" width of my bars and bark busters made some tree sections more difficult than they could have been had I got out the hack saw. It was a blast and I am thankful I was able to participate.
