I feel for you.....quite a change hiking by yourself and you obviously are tired...very understandable. Don't push yourself too hard, listen to your body and when Ziggly returns you'll be ready to push forward. You manage to make every video a joy to watch!

Love the “I didn’t want to so I didn’t “. Hiking alone for a bit is good I think in that it does give me a different perspective about being on the trail. It basically is just me and the trail with fewer distractions. This is good I believe, for a while at least.

Just take a couple days off trail and rest and relax, than when he gets back you guys will be together again!! That way your feet can rest also!

My vote is adopt a another trail family for security, companshjp, safety, etc And wait for Zippy to catch up. Resting your feet is also a good idea. You can research for natural remedies for your aches. Your a strong young woman with high stamina!😅

Sounds like you're getting conflicting advice. I don't think you asked for advice, but I'm sure it's well-meaning. I say read the trail signs & see what you get, you'll know what to do. If I'm facing a hard decision, I'll consider it decided in favor of both ways, first one for a couple of days, then see how it feels to consider it decided the other way. I always can tell what my spirit is saying, so that's my unsolicited advice. If your foot needs a break, take a break. Otherwise, do your thing. And...you aren't really alone, each time you speak into the camera you're speaking to a couple hundred of us : ) Happy hiking kiddo, you're inspiring me!!

I'm sorry to hear about Ziggy. At least you survived the Lemon Squeezer. Did you take the direct or easy route right after? CT has a similar rock formation called the Orange Crush, about mid way thru the state. Enjoy!

Being alone will be a challenge for a time since you and Ziggy spent so many days and miles together. Remember, the trail provides. When I was section hiking, most of it by myself, I never went more than 90 minutes without running into someone. Ziggy may be able to catch up, you may meet other north bounders to join or you may go on for a time by yourself. Allow yourself to experience all the feelings. BTW, I spent a night at Fingerboard Shelter more than 40 years ago. I had a boyfriend for about a year who was an avid backpacker. He taught me a lot about being in and enjoying the wilderness. Fingerboard was only one of the places we stayed. Holding you in my thoughts. Keep on hiking!

At least Ziggy is getting off trail for a wedding and not because he in injured! Hopefully you will meet up with him again soon! By the way, I have been following a Sobo with the trail name of "Snowman" (KZbin Channel = Frank Mularcik Beyond Investing) who is hiking south into New York at the same time that you are hiking north. Maybe you will meet him and he can give you some advice on hiking in New Hampshire & Maine.

MoJo solo in the wilderness! You should have just invited yourself to Ziggy's daughter's wedding.😉Maybe slowing your pace down and taking a zero or two while Ziggy's gone will enable him to catch up quickly when he gets back on trail. That could also help heal your feet and relieve the exhaustion. My two cents of unwarranted advice. Whatever you decide, I'm sure you'll persevere and hike on to Katahdin. 🥾🥾⛰🦞

I watched another channel of a female hiker, Jenny is her name and she's a few days ahead of you. There was some shady dude on the trail and he asked some personal questions and later he was waiting for her on the trail. Law enforcement has been contacted and she didn't say in her video if the creep has been contacted by police. Just a heads up.

I saw that too. Scary. We are Trail Angels at mile 1537 (right about where Jenny indicates this happened), and I suspect I know who she's talking about. Someone did leave a comment in FarOut warning female hikers.
