HELLO, In question of pipes and cisterns it is better to use the formula WORK = EFFICIENCY * TIME, where EFFICIENCY = 1/TIME, and in usual case we take the total WORK to be 1 for easier calculation. In this 2:56:59 question let the larger pipe fills tank in x min then EFF. large= 1/x and similarly EFF. small= 1/(x+10) and total time taken here by both is given 200/9 min WORK = TOTAL EFF. * TOTAL TIME = 1= [ (1/X) + (1/X+10) ] * 200/9 now make the equation and solve and get the answer. I loved how he explained the unitary method but I am the person who forgets this question after 2 days so I remember this simple formula to deal wwith these type of question. You can also use the formula in all the work and time questions. But unitary method is also good, but I prefer the formula just like the factorisation and shreedharacharya formula. BUT HATS OFF TO THIS GUY AND IT'S TOTALLY YOUR CHOICES. THANK YOU
