It's not like it's hard to frame the pics correctly, or you're trying to conserve film... better to have too many pics than not enough or miss something. Something that grabbed me about the make up testimony was that AH really didnt seem to understand the opposites of the colour wheel as she was claiming. Which has a former (make up artist?) she absolutely should know. She said that when you have red marks, you use a bit of green to counteract it, which is correct, but then she said that if you have purple marks, you use the orange to counteract - this is incorrect, you would use the yellow, which was clearly visible in her make up that she was holding up as an example. If you wanted to use the orange, that would be to counteract blue - for instance, it's used quite a lot with dark circles under your eyes. Fine art graduate here and that is pretty basic colour wheel knowledge.

Nobody mentions this, but in her statement about the donations she accuses Jonny of donating directly to recieve tax breaks and for him to really lose 7 million (like he would if he paid the money to amber) he needed to donate 14 million to offset the tax breaks. By the same logic, if she wants "nothing to do with his money" doesnt she need to donate 14 million as to not make a profit?
@sgnMark2 жыл бұрын
There's also the issue of breaking even. If he gives the 7 to Amber, he loses 7. If he donates the 14, he loses 7 but gains pr for donating it himself. Her argument actually works against her as it is proof of motive on her part to push for the payment to her. Especially since now, we know she didn't donate it. Motive confirmed.
@krylesangerbeaver2 жыл бұрын
His tax bracket means he would need to donate 14 million to lose 7 million after the tax deductions. Her ultimate goal. according to her, was for him to lose 7 million. So he either had to pay her 7 million which then then she would [not really] donate in installments. The installments would help her in terms of tax write-offs, but charities do prefer the long term donations because it helps them plan their budget long term. If he wanted to pay the 7 million he would be able to write a lot of that off so he doesn't actually lose 7 million dollars like he would by paying her. To do that, he would have to actually donate 14 million. Even after tax write offs he would then be down 7 million.
@sue84122 жыл бұрын
ALSO HUGE thing people didn’t notice - Depp’s accountant claimed that Amber required Depp to pay for her legal fees and give her the settlement tax free, meaning Depp was responsible for 14+ million out of pocket. If Amber cared so much about the money going to charities, Depp could have directly paid the charities 14+ million instead of Amber only paying 7 million. Basically Amber requiring the money go directly to her instead of the charities COST the charities an additional 7+ million that they could have gotten if Johnny paid them what he ended up owing her.

I'm not from the US so by all accounts I would not be so invested in this trial but the sense of getting justice for someone so wronged in such an insidious manner by someone using the traumatic narrative of millions of women who did not have the privilege or fame that she had at her disposal was something I could not ignore. And today, during Ms. Vasquez' cross examination of Amber gave me a sense of satisfaction that was at whole other level - more than anything that had been shared previously that exposed the true face and motives of Johnny Depp's ex-wife. I think that this was the first time that anyone had confronted Amber Heard with the magnitude of her actions and given her an idea of the consequence of what she had sown could be worse than what she set out to do. You cannot imagine the satisfaction I felt as lie after lie was drawn, dissected and exposed and from an individual who had wealth and influence, no less. It gives me some smidgen of hope that people like her can still be held accountable by a jury of her fellow citizens - in my country, people like her just get elected to the presidency.

I’ve been coming for the analysis because I can’t stomach her narrative. As a survivor of SA when I was a young boy nothing about the way she testifies feels right. The vindictiveness and venom she speaks with and the way tries to stare down the jury is completely opposite of the way myself and the other victims in our case testified. You almost don’t even want to look up. My focus was solely on the attorneys asking the questions. The fear that someone wouldn’t believe me and the teacher would escape justice was greater than my anger at the pervert. It’s because of all of that I just can’t even watch her when she speaks. I was a huge fan of hers after her appearance in “The River Why” but lately the more about her personality that comes out and the more we see from her on the stand just absolutely makes my skin crawl.

Not that she talks about movies, or that she looks pretty, or that she rolls her eyes and is snarky. But that she has no photos of horrible injuries, that she has photos of a day after those "horrible" injuries and fights where she's just perfectly fine and so on. She keeps digging in the hopes that she will find an exit. Putting a female against her was obvious but they chose the absolute correct woman for the job. I have a feeling that Camille is going to keep jabbing. I could see Amber starting to dislike having a strong woman shut her down and steal the attention. Today is going to be more brow beating, but I know every man who has ever been falsely accused of anything (and any real victim) is praying there is a full melt down of a nuclear fasion. Love the commentary! I hope that JD gets the win. We already know his image is saved.

About the pledges, here's a thing that struck me the most. When asked about Elon Musk's contributions, Amber outright denied that these money count toward her pledge. ACLU earlier testified that Amber did call them and informed them that these money were made in her name towards the pledge. But now she says no, they did not count toward that 3.5 million pledge, it was another issue entirely! Doesn't that put her in yet another trap?

The swelling thing is so ridiculous. Anyone who’s had any injury from when they were kids will know that injury swells. I fell on my face while riding a bike and had a small cut under my eye, swelling and bruising on my cheek 12 years ago and even now when I get emotional or if it’s a hot day the area swells up. She probably has got work done on her face but you can’t run to a plastic surgeon the second you have an injury from a fight and get it fixed in a day.
@constanzaosorio68602 жыл бұрын
Same here, I found it beyond incredible that she thinks she's convincing anybody with that and the ice pack narrative. A few weeks ago, my SO bumped his head against mine while he was asleep, and I immediately applied ice on the area to avoid too much swelling. It was still swollen even after a couple of days. There's no freaking way she was fine the day after.

Obvious observations, amber was obviously either on social media herself or told by her team what to say to wiggle around criticism she is getting online. One thing I think Camille could have brought up about Amber's loss of public appearances to promote shows and Loreal after the DVTRO (is that the correct abbreviation?) was that it could have also been due to everything being shut down and at a standstill due to it being the beginning of the pandemic.

Honestly, if I am WB at this point it just makes sense to wait until the verdict is made before announcing she is removed or not. Even if they are planning to remove her, it makes zero sense not to wait 2-3 weeks more at this point.

@@rebeccaabram2312 yes, because the verdict is about defamation by jd. And you know, the jury may say there was still soma abuse and therefore no defamation. I wish they'd used the Statement put out by Amber's team (about wanting JD to double the donations to $14M if he was donating on her behalf) as a talking point. The 3rd paragraph stated very clearly the monies should be paid at once because charities have enough issues (or something to that effect) with collecting monies. I thought maybe this would have further debunked her "pledge is interchangeable with donation" remarks? What a beast.
