I love you Kanoe with the love of the Lord,you really are a vessel that is used by Him to help us believers understand His Words . Truly man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that comes from the mouth of God. Since ive doing this reading along with you,i feel something is missing with myself when im not into this bible study .It is such a blessing❤❤❤. Also, i now got some nuggets from this chapter, that the Lord is just and faithful to his promises, and his love for king david that he spared the tribe of Judah in remembrance and for the fulfillment of his words through Jesus Christ ..Thank you God for making us draw near to you and understanding your character day by day little by little.I praise God in heaven.

This is my first time commenting. I am a new follower. I am a new believer as well. Lately I have not been reading daily or praying about the right things. I have been going through a lot lately. Instead of going to GOD I have been trying to deal with it on my own, only to fail miserably. Since I have been trying to build a relationship with GOD I have had the most challenging year of my life. Please pray for my strength and mental health. I don't have a church home or real "saved" friends so it is difficult to be encouraged. I am so thankful for this! Thank you for EVERYTHING! ❤

I’ve known God my whole life, grew up in the church. It’s on my been the past 2 years that I really came to know Him. Heard Him audibly speak to me. Understand that he gives me dreams and visions. And this journey hasn’t been easy. I’m still learning even up to as recently as yesterday. But in the end, this is all worth it and God knows your heart. And having Him in your life truly makes life much easier and beautiful knowing He has your back always. He can order our steps when we submit and truly we see His blessings when we do. I pray you continue to bond with our Lord. I pray for blessings and peace over you. ❤

Oh man! I was so mad at Solomon today! Why Why why?? God blessed him so much!! It sadden me to much to see how bad he fell away from God! Consequences for sin are really tough! I guess we don't always think about that when we are sinning. Note to self...Think about what you are doing before you do it!! Obey God and his commandments!

At 24:35 when you break down the number of divisions of land, I look at it as the division of the 12 tribes; and since the tribe of Levi had no large division of land, there were really only 11 "original" tribes (with Manasseh and Ephraim coming from the 1 tribe of Joseph) making up the kingdom. So when 10 pieces are given to Jeroboam, only the 1 piece/tribe remains to carry on the line of David, Solomon, Rehoboam, etc. Very much enjoying your commentary... it really helps bring the bible to life.
@jydymyyyr96304 ай бұрын
Now after reading ahead in 1 Kings 12 (and watching your 2023 commentary), your description of the division of tribes makes much more sense; with the Benjamites, Simeonites, and Judah (i.e., the S. tribes) all being under the reign of Rehoboam, and the N. tribes under Jehoboam's reign. Sorry, I spoke too soon, and your description was spot on. Thanks for being patient.

Nature: Love in 1Kings 11:1 Ahav (אָהַב): Meaning: Ahav is a broad term used in the Hebrew Bible to describe various forms of love, including romantic love, affection for friends and family, love for objects or activities, and even God's love for His people. Context in 1 Kings 11:1: Here, ahav refers to Solomon's romantic and perhaps political alliances with many foreign women. This love led to Solomon's eventual spiritual downfall, as his foreign wives turned his heart towards other gods. Ahav: Can refer to various types of love, including romantic, familial, and even material affection. It can be self-centered or selfless depending on the context. Agape: Always refers to a selfless, unconditional, and sacrificial love, often divine in nature and encouraged as an ideal for human relationships. the Hebrew word "אָהַב" (ahav) is mentioned in various places throughout the Old Testament. It is a common word used to describe different types of love and affection. Here are a few examples: Genesis 22:2: "He said, 'Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love (אָהַב, ahav), and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.'" This verse describes Abraham's love for his son Isaac. Genesis 29:20: "So Jacob served seven years for Rachel, and they seemed to him but a few days because of the love (אָהַב, ahav) he had for her." Here, ahav describes Jacob's romantic love for Rachel.

I'm curious but why are these bible studies mixed in with other books of the bible? Like Reading Kings then skipping all the way to a chapter in chronicles?
@ParkersMom21764 ай бұрын
The Bible isn’t printed chronologically . We’re studying in chronological order which means jumping from book to book. I hope this helps. I had the same question.
@heartdive4 ай бұрын
We are following a chronological reading plan. A chronological Bible reading plan organizes Bible passages in the order of historical events, from the first chapters of Genesis to the last chapters of Revelation. This type of reading plan can help readers see connections between events and understand how the Bible tells one big story that points to Jesus Christ.
