Holly, You are a true teacher sister. I thought of a woman I know who reflects Proverbs 31, 10-31. I'm gonna let her know! Thank you so much for your words that help so much. My hair is thinning so badly that I've worn a hairpiece and colored powder on my scalp which just kills me in the Texas summer heat. Today, I washed my few strands and went out without my "cover." I considered vanity..I considered the rest of my life with little hair...I prayed for courage. I had the best shopping experience with strangers and felt the love of our Lord loving others through me. Not for a minute did I feel self conscious. The Lord is blessing me! This Bible study has changed me, God is molding me, getting me ready to serve my purpose I have yet to discover in my days of retirement.❤

@dellametcalf3270 I too am very thin at the top and part of the back. I had to repent to our God because in Church, I wouldn't bow down my head, nor would I praise him with my head thrown back. And I just ask myself who did I think I was, I'm blessed to do all of these, things where, as someone else didn't have the strength to do so. I'm so glad I got over myself, and I now wear a very close haircut. God is so awesome. I enjoyed your testimony.✌🏾

I prayed to God yesterday asking why I felt I was doing something wrong after all I just spent hours cleaning I did the dishes, I scrubbed the counters, swept the floor, put away all the clothes with the thought in mind that I was honoring God and serving others because I’m being a proverbs 31 women, and I looked outside in the sky and he told me that he didn’t ask me to slave away cleaning, he told me that I’m aloud to have rest. Todays verse gave me that same conviction I need rest, tomorrow is Sunday, the day of rest so I want to truly honor God by resting, I wanted to clean and keep the house well but if I was doing this for God and he’s telling me I need to rest than I’m doing something wrong and I need to rest. ( for context I’m 14 and I live with my grandparents both of them hate cleaning so I try to serve God by helping them out, but I guess it’s got to where I’m not just helping out I’m slaving away without enough rest )
@RM-ck6ov7 ай бұрын
Yes, we all need rest! Rest in the Lord honor Him and He will gove you the strength to help your grandparents the 6 other days of the week. You are a blessing to them!
@liliaramirez63507 ай бұрын
Don’t only take a rest on the sabbath without guilt but you can also take a couple hours of rest in the other 6 days when helping your grandparents. Just wanting to help them tells me that your HEART is in the right place and that is what God is looking at and for that He will bless you beyond your imagination. Keep doing good, God loves you!!!

Honestly…. I was so captivated by your message I didn’t think about your appearance Holly. I am sitting watching this while I finish my lunch and praise God!! The last heart check took my breath away. I have been working so hard to try and deliver at work but now I realise this is partly me trying to be recognised for my achievements. I have been stuck in a toxic workplace. Without question this has been hindering all aspects of my life including my walk with Jesus. I have prayed so hard for months and this week I have applied for a new role that will still allow me to be industrious but allow me to concentrate more on my family my friends and most importantly my walk with the Lord. I am quite young in my faith, but reflecting on the last heart check gives me courage that I am not doing something ungodly. Gods will be done.

I appreciate you focusing a lot on how Proverbs 31 can apply to women in all seasons. I struggled with the passage for years, being a single woman and always hearing sermons about wives and moms with it or with it being just a checklist of things to do. I’m thankful God has been giving me a new perspective on it in recent months. This helped. ❤

Tank you Holly for this wonderful lesson today. The talk and information for 2025 on the different Bibles. When i was saved in November 2023 the church i was attending at that time seen i was carrying a NIV and had a lot to say about what Bible I SHOULD be only reading James King Version and i tried to explain I have never read the Bible and at least i could kind of understand what i was reading in it and I kind of felt uncomfortable with their demand. But I felt in my heart I can pick up any Bible and read and get many understandings. So thank you for sharing a little bit of that that really confirmed what I was feeling in my heart. Beautiful lesson today. God Bless You!

Thank you Holly...Your words on your upbringing of living in poverty and not knowing your living without was my life, has been my life for the most part of my life. I raised my children in goodwill and we could not afford anything else. When we could we were able to buy a gift for the kids at christmas but the most part we shopped at a goodwill or salvation army and here in canada , value village--which is do not support anymore for they are a corporation and the moneys do not go back to help the needy and homeless. I still shop salvation army for we are not rich by any means but its a matter of using resources that are already made and still have life but just not needed anymore by those who have much. Never could i change my decor with the seasons, nor clothing with the seasons and i dont condemn those who can and do. I am thankful for these stores for how else could we clothe our children with warm clothing in the winter without them. God bless the ones with lots to donate to these stores....blessings to you all and Happy to be apart of the Family of Jesus....our Lion of Judah...Amen! 🤗💚💜🙏

29:50 I view it as her not worrying because she’s prepared what’s in her ability to do, and knows it’s all ultimately in Gods hands. She’s done as God has called her to do. She knows God is the ultimate provider and comes through in powerful ways as we serve.

Yes - great observation and insight. Thank you. It awesome to have Collaboration with this Bible study. I could have elaborated on each one and was already struggling to keep it short. Appreciate when others chime in especially with this proverb. Ultimately we are to steward the resources we've been provided and to plan as best we can then trust that the Lord will be our ultimate caretaker. Proverbs 16:9

I struggle a lot with worry (and anxiety disorder) so it’s one that jumped off the page at me. It’s one I’ve heard so often, seen all over social media too, that I’m now seeing in a new light - especially as I’m seeing the overall chapter in a new light recently.
@hollyrigosmedia7 ай бұрын
@@kristenhall283 I can completely relate to the worry and anxiety because I also struggle - even to seeking help with it. In my own experience, it has been easier to deal with and sometimes overcome the sinister thoughts in my own head with the word of God. I cling to the scriptures that promise hope, comfort, contentment, and encourage me to stop worrying! It is why the phrase fear the Lord is incessantly the prayer on my lips.
