DAY 18: CAMINO DEL NORTE (2024)

DAY 18: Camino del Norte
31 glorious kilometers makes today one of the top 5 on all 7 Camino’s.
All alone in nature served me well.
I was blown away by all the amazing natural stimulations.
Today was a completely solo day and I barely saw another Peregrino.
Found a bed at a private albergue near the back beach of which I plan to jump in tomorrow morning. …perhaps sans clothes. I told that to a Spanish Peregrina from Madrid and she said she wants to do the same.
We laughed about our meat suits being what they are. Just bodies. Do you.
19.3 miles day without injury is always a win.
Admittedly, and I am not recommending this to other pilgrims, I hitch-hiked the last 1/3 up to the cross. The local laughed at me. “You don’t have far to go!” Yeah, but I’m tired and I’ve done this before.
I once hitch hiked back from Cruz de Fero on the Frances route back to my village because I wanted to save my feet and needed time at sunset to honor a friend who had just passed away.

I had to cut about 5 minutes of epic footage from this video to keep it under 10minutes.
Met amazing pilgrims and had foodie adventures!
Tomorrow I head back to Muxia.
