It's the little things that get you by... fall colors, no sweltering heat, no black flies and trail magic. Glad you are having a good experience. Thanks for sharing your dinner and a view at these amazing campsites.

Swimming, sand beach, sunset. Can't get no better than that! Yep, there's no way to be a SOBO this year. They even closed the entire Blue Ridge Parkway, which surprised me (surprised they closed the northern section).

The thumbnail pic and the milkyway pics are phenomenal 🤩 My heart has broken for the people of NC, Tennessee and Virginia. A dear friend’s husbands family is on the border in Tennessee. One of their members house was washed away in a mudslide and they are still missing 😢 and now with Milton about to strike Florida…. 💔

My heart goes out to everyone affected by that horrific storm! I have donated to various organizations recommended by Ramdino and also to samaritans purse. I just wish I didn’t live so far away and I could volunteer somewhere up there! WOW what a beautiful evening you had there on that beach!!! I saw your summit post on Instagram last night!! Great picture!!! 🫶🫶🫶

We definitely plan on getting into our local AT maintenance club/chapter once we get settled in Virginia. Time for the hikers to pay it forward now!

The devastation is unreal. It's incredibly tragic. So many hikers are stepping up and helping out. Ramdino has some good updates.

The squirrels have a lot of preditors, especially the pine martens. If you are lucky, you may get to see one. Pro tip for the future, start the fire before going swiming. Good video. Happy Trails. Good Luck, Rick

We didn’t see any pine martens unfortunately. I wanted to so bad!

Yeah unfortunately it’s really bad down south as you well know by now. Good time for all of us to step up and help those affected by the storm in any way we can. Can’t believe the squirrels let you get that close to them!!

What a beautiful place to camp, probably one of your most memorable nights. 😊 That definitely looked like a cold plunge instead of a swim. 😜

It was so cold. He’s insane 🤣

Yes the storm was really bad. Save any pictures you have from NC, because that is all that's left.😢

The 100 mile wilderness name needs changed or eliminated if trail magic is available.
@heather__hikes2 сағат бұрын
@@scothampton963 I feel like the “wilderness” about it all is a wee bit exaggerated lol. We passed plenty of roads and had cell phone service WAY more than I expected to.

Can’t count on “trail magic” but if there are stores available that’s different
