The first in-stadium medals were handed out on Day 2 of the 2019 IAAF World Athletics Championships in Doha. Deanna Price became the first American in history to win a #WorldAthleticsChamps women's throwing event title with a dominant display in the Women's Hammer.
Next up was the Men's Long Jump title, where a monster 8.69m jump from Jamaica's Tajay Gayle was a new PB, the longest jump in the world this year, a national record and saw Gayle become the first Jamaican man in history to win World Athletics Championships field event gold.
The field for the Women's 10,000m was one of the strongest in years, and Netherlands' Sifan Hassan produced a stunning final lap to storm home and claim the gold medal.
The night concluded with the highly anticipated Men's 100m. Following a stunning light show, Christian Coleman lit up the stadium with a 9.76s run to claim gold, ahead of compatriot Justin Gatlin and Canadian Andre De Grasse.
