For food, a good routine to get into is this - After adventuring during the day, make a light meal to eat. Then, before you sleep, make a complex meal. Sleep and eat that meal for breakfast. You'll be good for another day of adventuring.

Hey Kage, the devs are pointing you to this rather obviously if you think about it. The area opposite the starter base area is a safe base location in most seeds and can be turned into your new home. No more invasions. You can also choose any location without a destructible path towards it and the enemies will just come to visit and leave again.

@@Bartek2244 If you cross the street from the starter base, in almost all seeds you see a mining area where you can settle down on the platform above. In other seeds it could be the next room over. That area is 100% safe from invasion so you can focus on your adventures instead of playing the Fallout 4 game of "another settlement needs your help" until you go mad.

Kage you can build walls and doors to close off your base This will help keep the orcs out. There may be other places you can build if that one is not in a good location. Please do find and repair the statues you only have 1/2 of the recipe for the war ax. You're doing great. Happy you made the shield, its great for stunning the enemy. Can't wait for more.

there's alot of things in the world you can break down for stuff.Piles of rocks etc and nearly anything in the rooms can be broken down.Also you can close off you camp area more to cover and protect it from raids.

If you don't fancy moving, you can wall the entrance and add a door.

Carry stone on you to repair statues, build up high or they will destroy base, the attacks come very often. The bat is like their bird that yaps at you. Only see it durring attacks.

if you click in the scroll wheel while looking at an enemy you will lock on to that enemy, no more weird swings away from where you're looking

When you get your first horde. Make sure you kill them all. Also whe. You get to the elven wood trees there are orc chests you can destroy with your pickaxe for some early game black diamonds. They are a major help for the mapstone (fast travel)

For leather, not scraps. actual leather you can kill the white animal that looks like a Llama. They seem pretty rare though.

Almost all Moria videos show genii who didn´t think about walling their precious safe space and have troubles. Even in Valheim, the first thing built is a defensible accommodation. Why not here?

It would also be a good idea to start stockpile alot of things.Mainly iron 2nd wood 3rd stone and 4th any scrap you find.

He points out the weak parts of games, which can lead to improvements if the develoeprs are listening and take them into account. This thing looks... bad. It's just a half assed cash grab using the Lord of the Rings license, like that crappy Gollum game was. Since Christopher Tolkien passed it seems the suits took over the control of the license and just let any old idiot use it without caring about the quality. The Rings of Power is another great example of this.
