Beautiful balance. So much interplay with the sherry and the bourbon influence. I have enjoyed the Benromach's at the tastings, and really like the brand. I have a ticket to their Saturday Master Class this year for Whisky Fest. Really looking forward to that. Cheers, and thanks again for the amazing selections!

Maltesers have a more malt powder, and is more tightly compacted. They're sold at grocery stores. Whoppers are available at dollar stores, so are cheaper and easier to buy. You may not like them much because they tend to crumble easier, and the chocolate ratio is smaller.

Love the analogy Adam! This one was good but not as good as the Strath exclusive. The exclusive has bigger sherry notes where this was more malt than anything else. Still a delightful treat!

Tough to pick a favourite Benromach but all of the single casks I've tried have been fantastic. It seems like they don't miss.

Benromach is a great distillery. On the nose I found malt, honeycomb, maybe apricot and light smoke. Anyone who reads my notes must think I'm crazy. On the nose I found lots of raisin/prune and a nice long finish.

Not sure if it was just the colour, but I was getting a hint of candied cherries in this one's fruitcake-ness along with dark molasses and allspice

Love love loved this bottle. Doesn’t quite beat the single cask 305 and 306 (and maybe that ~20yr Canada Cask) that were shared in the Stath’s Benromach tasting earlier this year, but stood out massively for me. I’ll throw a question out for anyone who sees this- How does the current cask strength batch strength compare to this? Because if they’re similar to this then I see purchases in my future
