Day 21: Chitwan | River Bank Jungle Resort, Tharu Village, One-Horned Rhino & Sunset at Rapti River

Welcome to Day 21 of our adventure! Today, we travel to the serene Chitwan, where we check into the peaceful River Bank Jungle Resort. Our day begins with a visit to the local Tharu Museum, immersing ourselves in the rich history and traditions of the Tharu people.
We then explore a local arts and crafts shop, where we find unique handmade items crafted from banana tree skin-a beautiful example of the eco-friendly techniques passed down through generations.
Later, as the sun begins to set, we head to the Rapti River for a stunning view. While we’re there, we’re fortunate enough to catch sight of a One-Horned Rhino, a rare and majestic moment in the wild! As we watch the sunset, we also see local fishermen returning home after a long day’s work. Their simple, hard-working lifestyle is a reminder of the beauty and challenges of daily life in this peaceful region.
It’s a day full of cultural discovery, wildlife encounters, and moments that make you reflect on the simplicity and beauty of life.
