Day 6 in Nepal: Hike to Komre Danda & Exploring Pasgaun Village
Join me on Day 6 of my Nepal journey as I hike up to the stunning Komre Danda, a place that holds great cultural significance for the village of Pasgaun. I'll take you along as we trek through the beautiful landscape, with each step offering a new perspective of the surrounding mountains, including the breathtaking Lamjung Himal. The 360-degree views from the top are simply incredible, and I’ll share every moment of it with you!
While there's a motor-able road to Komre Danda, it’s inaccessible during the monsoon season, which makes the hike even more special. The villagers have raised funds to build a small hut with a water supply and toilet facilities at the top, allowing them to enjoy picnics and the views in comfort. The project has received generous support from ex and currently serving Indian and British Army personnel, which makes it all the more meaningful.
After taking in the panoramic views from the top, we'll head back down and stop at a Buffalo Goth (shepherd's hut) just a few meters below. This beautiful spot offers sweeping views, open spaces for grazing cattle, and even a pond with fresh running water 24/7. It’s an idyllic place that could one day be developed into a farmhouse!
As we make our way back to the village, we’ll meet some of the friendly locals and get a glimpse of life in Pasgaun. I’ll end Part 1 of Day 6 with a heartfelt promise to help renovate Om Shanti Baje’s house,
Stay tuned for more adventures from Nepal in the upcoming videos!
